Pre 2008...yes, it usually points to recession.
But now, many Algos/Quants have triggers set on this fig...you can clock it when 1.53 down to here w/ Market move
Post 2008, FED can game this back to steepen so BTFD...look at Sept...all was saying recession here...now TSLA & SPCE at ath

I'm not familiar with mortgage mkt...perhaps check the home buying thrd??...But the FED has signaled no change to FED Funds Rate but will be "Accomodative" if Markets drop...so further rate cuts...leading to lower mortgage rates.

Fam I had calls on MS that was killing it but that drop ****ed it all up

And I was 1% from having profit on my LK position and it fell 7% with that drop
