Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Can’t find the full exchange between the 3, but this is low key one of my favorite scenes of the whole movie. I say Everett’s line in real life alllll the time

Pete:
Well hell, it ain't square one! Ain't nobody gonna pick up three filthy, unshaved hitch-hikers, and one of them a know-it-all that can't keep his TRAP SHUT!

………..
………..

Everett:
Consider the lilies of the goddamn field or... hell! Take at look at Delmar here as your paradigm of hope.

Delmar O'Donnell:
Yeah, look at me.

Looked up that Pompeo stuff. Thing is even if you strip away who Denzel is and who she is he wasn't even the least bit wrong. She just Karen'd out for no reason. Her not doing that to someone like a Scorsese or Spielberg is a valid question.
Yeah, that's why I can't just say oh that was just the star of the show ego tripping.

I don't know what some white ppl are thinking over sharing an experience like that where they were clearly in the wrong.
She probably didn't think she was wrong. Probably thought she'd be admired for getting in an argument with Denzel.

She likely told this story plenty of times to other out of touch friends/actors at parties who all give her some sort of positive reaction or even admiration. Makes her think the public will react the same way.

That's probably how it starts with most of these weird confessions & stories (the not bathing crew) (the racists & homophobic confessions) They likely get the "your so brave for telling us this" reaction over & over from friends and think the world will feel the same way :smh:

I saw the comparison made on twitter but this is just like when Liam Neeson just openly offered up the time he went searching for any black man to attack and possibly kill with a blunt weapon for a week cuz a close friend was raped and told him a black guy did it.

He really thought that was some shareable example of a time he wanted revenge to relate to his character in a movie.

Some ppl, I dunno man.

I wanna watch Many Saints Sunday but if it starts lookin packed I might have to wait till next week. Gonna keep an eye on the seat map on a few low key theaters tho.

Watching Titan A.E. Good lord the music sucks. But the story is solid and some if the animation holds up. I'm enjoying watching this again after damn near a 20-year gap. Had no idea the main character was voiced by Matt Damon.

Fun fact: I've never seen a Bond.

Any of them.

That's actually a feat.

Connery Bond movies use to rerun quite a bit when I was young. Some Moore ones too. Then Brosnan's Bond was just super popular and Damn near inescapable. Plus Halle Berry 🔥

I had pretty much saw most of the Connery Bond movies and seen Brosnan's work before I was 13.

To not see a single one up to 2021? I gotta assume you're not a fan of spy action flicks. Probably haven't seen the Mission Impossibles or Bourne movies right?

Growing up and when I was a young adult, absolutely not. Couldn't care less about action movies or spy movies, so action spy? Naaaaaah.

Loved Matt Damonin GWH enough to check out the first Bourne, and absolutely loved it. I gotta say, though, it was because of the story, not the 'pew pew, punch, jump through window' stuff. It was the 'trained government weapon reclaiming his identity and life' angle.

Soooooo that made me watch one of the Mission movies, can't tell you which one. Decent. Haven't seen any others in the line up.

I've definitely become more of a movie snob the older I've gotten, so I feel like keeping up with Bond is damn near a requirement now, but like... do they intertwine? Do I have to begin with the very first one and go forward?

And are the stories in each installment even remotely challenging/compelling? Character struggle is a HUGE thing in my opinion and interest of a movie/series.

This is the 25th Bond.

Some have interweaving in them, some do not, some are reboots, rehashes, tongue in cheek type Easter egg nods etc.

You could watch a variety of ways. You could start with number one and go all the way til 25.

You could do "Modern" Bond, starting with Brosnan. Just to see the greatness that is Goldeneye.

Or, you could do just the Daniel Craigs, but not sure you'd understand how refreshing Casino Royale was. (I've seen 50+ times)

Rarity? After Royale, Quantum of Solace was the first Bond of all time to literally pick up directly from the previous film.

And then there's the Bond women......every film is 3-4 of the most gorgeous women Earth has ever created. And he gets them all.
