Magellan did not discover savages. He discovered Gods and Goddesses. 

Forgive me if this warrants a late pass. Not too long ago I made a facebook post about how America straight up jacked Hawaii with guns and "agents", and one of my hawaiin friends made a comment "I bet they didn't teach you about your own history in the Philippines either." 

Well that led me to this

We are in an age of revolution. I hope to see the Philippines, as well as America, take full advantage of bringing humanity back to its beautiful roots.

Yup. This country definitely has a ton of resources that was exploited (and is continued to be exploited) over the centuries by various colonizers. Mostly Spain's fault, too. Damn shame.

Yeah. Filipinos of old were very renowned in the region. Like the video said, we had great relations with our neighbors. Great values and an honorable people. And we held up our own very well. At one point, we were even a feared force. Hey, we did kick Magellan's #@$ back in 1521.

Nowadays, it's sad that we're being bullied by China over a group of islands that aren't remotely even close to their territory. And we really can't defend ourselves if the #$%@ got real.

Yeah, it would've been bad-*** if he really killed Magellan. No one can really say if he did, though. I remember my history professor telling me that maybe one of his warriors got the kill and they just credited it to Lapu-Lapu since he was the chief/leader, so to say. But it really doesn't matter, IMO. They still held their own against a bunch of foreign dudes.
