This is wild... I'm almost starting to feel old.  It's already been ten years since my cousin let me play his original Pokemon Blue version when my family first got back to the States.  I never missed with anything beyond Red and Blue.  I didn't even know kids still played Pokemon.

holy crap, I was at gamestop like last month, to buy a charger and this kid infront of me who was like 15 was reserving some game (I didnt pay attention to it) but the cashier was asking him which version was he going to get, and the kid was saying how he couldnt decide

and the cashier was agreeing on how he didnt know which version he was going to get either

I felt weird being in there

I was wondering what they were talking about, now I know.
