Huh? Because the put the new span of the Bay Bridge that connects SF to Oakland? I don't see the connection..If anything, they are showing their affiliation to Oakland by switching the logo from the Golden Gate to the Bay Bridge..

I don't see it either, the new side of the bridge is actually on the Oakland side past Treasure Island. Nice logo though.

   there's no reason to change the logo. people who think the logo should be changed, you don't think that's a straight slap in the face to jerry west?  same with the number being retired league wide.   you can make a valid argument for other players throughout history being the best nba player ever.     

jackie robinson changed sports history   that's why his number his retired league wide

wayne gretzky demolished every single nhl record of importance and was hands down the greatest hockey player ever.  compare his stats to whoever is 2nd to him and notice the huge difference.

with leonsis about to/recently buying the wizards, i pray to god that dc gets a new look, preferably red white and blue to match the city's other teams. It would actually look decent being a wizard (only agreed with the mascot as a kid, but cant change now) with mickey mouse clothes one or so.

i have 10+ hat/shirts with that logo and it doesn't mean a thing.

Wouldn't bother me one bit.  IMO, Utah's logos and unis have been awful since they changed from the Stockton/Malone era.  But I guarantee you they will use green and not purple for the road unis.  The purple fad of the early 90s is over.  Hornets, Bucks and Raptors have gotten rid of it and it wouldn't surprise me if PHX phased it out eventually or just used it as a trim color rather than for a whole uni.  Besides the Lakers and Kings there probably won't be much purple in the league anymore.
