Ok so I am thinking of buying a new IPOD since I still have the old 30 GB Video Ipod from back in the day. The screen cracked so I'm thinking about it. Theproblem is I have over 4500 songs on my IPOD and 99% are not on my computer etc. What are the best programs to back up the music on your ipod so that itsstored and not lost. Any help is appreciated.

Copy TRans or sumthing like that google it... Program ran me 20 bucks but was well worth it

idump for the older ipods (free)
diskaid for touch (15 day trial) but you probably only need to use it once to get the songs
from ipod to the computer.

i have a mac and i use this program called senuti for free that will pull songs off of your ipod back onto your computer and keep all the tagging, etc. iusually just plug in my external hard drive and set the directory to that so ive got everything backed up in case something goes wrong with my computer.

True but itunes recognizes them and titles them appropriately. I guess it is somewhat of a pain.
