Question: What is Kendrick Perkins good at?

Guarding the Bynums, Gasols, and Duncans of the league.

Not guarding Bosh 15 ft away from the paint.

MIAMI – Oklahoma City center Kendrick Perkins played with a partially torn groin in the final three rounds of the playoffs, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
Perkins mobility was severely limited in the NBA Finals after suffering the injury in Game 4 of the Thunder's opening-round sweep of the Dallas Mavericks.

For the playoffs, Perkins averaged 4.7 points and 6.2 rebounds in 20 games. Considered one of the top post defenders in the league, Perkins struggled to jump and move laterally in the Finals against Miami.

Man...that was his calling card that back in 07-09. In addition to being effective against Dwight.
What the #%!* has he done lately that stands out? When Kobe actually passed Bynum the ball he was #@+#*!!+ on Perk. I wouldn't say he did that good of a job on an old Duncan either.

And then this #%!* face had the nerve the complain about not getting the ball against Battier...1st quarter of game 4 he gets it in the post against Shane and shoots a 5 foot rim grazer after jumping 1 inch of the ground.

Can they trade this !+$%# back to Boston or something?

I had heard about that torn groin too and was wondering whether it was confirmed or not

Playing 1 on 1 d against post up bigs

We could amnesty him, then what happens if/whe Dwight comes out West and we run into them in the postseason? We have egg on our face.

Since no one can read, lets try again.

His calling card is defense/rebounding. No one in the world should expects more than 5 PPG from him. Anytime OKC wants to send him back to Boston, please do..

Kendrick is not doing anything w/ Dwight in a 7 game series.
It is not 2008 anymore.

And what an excellent job he did at both of those this last series. Even Shane Battier felt comfortable going to the rack a few times with Perk down there. The $$$ he's owed over the next few years...ain't worth whatever defensive/rebounding abilities you may think he possesses. And at this point...he may be a candidate for picking up the "injury prone" label.

Kendrick held Dwight to a career low THIS SEASON

/\ The first game of the season.

And 33 the next time they played...

So...
Edit - that's not his career low either if he averaged 12 his first year in the league.

Being KG's little big brother.
Not stealing touches from KG.
His bark.
