The Unplanned Mixtape, The vs. EP, & The Heist were great records. Dude ushered in a lot of dope **** and helped push the genre forward in good. Ironically enough his (white) audience & mainstream outlets made him exactly what he was against and that was a cultural appropriator. And not only a cultural appropriator, but the face of it. I think he realized this when he beat out Kendrick for that glorified piece of scrape metal.

Macklemore is good dude, and he didn't deserve to be the viewed as the villain.
