I need to try these they look mad good, i've just ate curry chicken roti, curry goat roti, and roti with sugar. you cant get that at a roti shop can you?

Had some roti from this Trini spot somewhere in Queens....don't know the spices they used, but my nose would not stop running for like 30 min after I finished eating. +%## was HOT.
 
looks bomb, but i was expecting appreciation for the kind of roti thats on my sig

Lol, never heard of that roti... But my mom hooks it up and im getting better at making it every time I do. The spicier the better tho.

Thats crazy. I had this a longggg time ago at this Mosque and never knew what it was called. Whats that yellow stuff they put in it? Its like some kind of grain?

The roti skins are basically grinded up chic peas rolled out in the middle of dough, the meat and vegitables are traditionally seasoned with curry and consist of chicken, beef, goat, shrimp, rarely fish, potatoes, split peas and a various amount of other seasoning especially pepper.
 
roti came from India that is why it is common in the west indies

but it's eaten in south and southeast asia also

which is why there are many variations
