I would suggest ipanema down on first ave close to the SAM, its a brazilian buffet restaurant. A lil pricey but well worth it. Also El Gaucho's on 1stclose to belltown

paseos
tamarind tree
black bottle (arguable but I'll throw it out there)
that sandwich place behind goods

or just go to yelp.com

My favs (all price points and types):

Belltown/BluWater Bistro (various locations)
The Met
Red Mill Burger
Santa Fe Cafe
Rosita's
Various taco trucks

The Pink Door by the pike place market. good food and environment.

A good friend of mine recommended Palisades too for good seafood. I dont eat seafood so...

3 of my faves.
Bobby's Hawaiian in Everett.
Palomino's happy hour. Can't beat the $5 pizzas.
McCormick & Schmick's...again only for happy hour.

May I suggest The Ivar's Salmon House near Wallingford and Lake Union. Its a little pricey but well worth it - full brunch buffet with omelet stations, fresh seafood, fresh pasta, fish-n-chips, etc. Nice views of Lake Washington as well - if its nice outside, they've got patio seating. As a matter offact, I'm going there this Sunday. Good place to bring big eaters!

Like treboro01 said, I approve of Ipanema as well. Brazilian buffet where the food is cut and served directly to your plate!

Matts in the market $$$
Il Fornos pizzeria on cap hill across the st from winners circle.
Thai recipe (best thai restaurant I have found) in the southend.
Harborside on lake union.
Alladins gyrocery on the ave. Just make sure to order the Halal meat.
Hot mama's pizza
Kusina Philipina -Quck and cheap on beacon hill.
Sushi Tokyo- on Roosevelt cutty and delicious.

BTW to all the heads who mentioned Paseos. They have a second location in Ballard where Gordos use to be.

YO Visual Specialist. Dinuguan, are you serious!

not in seattle, but chantanee in bellevue or pen in kirkland (same owners). they serve some good thai food.

i got food poisoning from tamarind tree once, it was the day of the power outage too. that day sucked

i would also recommend salumi in seattle. its a deli/meat shop owned by mario batali's (former irom chef) parents. great smoked and cured hams! theirsandwiched are devine, get there early because the lines get long quick!

Someone help your boy out...

Can someone recommend a good filipino restaurant around here? I don't care if its a sit down place or "turo-turo" - I'm tired of cooking andmy girl and I would like to try a new place or two. Someone mentioned Kusina Philipina - is that place any good? Any other recommendations?

Also, (and I don't know if my friend was gassing me up or what) I've heard that there is a 24 hour Pho restaurant here in the north end - has anyoneever heard of this?

TheSwoosh: Dinuguan FTW!

I'm SHOCKED that no one has brought up The Wild Ginger... Bomb food for sure.
