STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

I dunno. Beast or not, if the only objective is to get into the NFL and quit after a few short years due to injuries caused by improper mechanics, be my guest.
They’ll get hurt on the field more often than not I’d guess. CTE will get him before any of this . My point is “bro look at his form” to a physical beast just don’t look right in our end. That’s all. Kinda like when people clown Wilder with his boxing mechanics. Yeah it’s off but the dude was world champ for a couple years. 🤷🏽‍♂️

All said and done his “form” is getting him paid for the rest of his life

Leg Press has always been an ego lift. Ego press should be what it's called.

Go look up some leg press gone wrong vids on YouTube. Don't want to post torture porn here. It's messed up when things go bad because someone wants to look cool pressing 50 plates.

Haha I wouldn’t say this but dude is at the pinnacle of sport. We got “but dat butt wink” comments from guys that’ll get hurt PR’ing for free haha. Speaking in generality here. If he is the end result of fitness, getting that life changing money. I’ll take that

Yup. It’s the machine that attracts the most attention because you can pile on the weight and do the ROM of a calf raise. Only people I see using it correctly are older people haha

Scheduled an appointment with a physical therapist for my left shoulder issue. Something I should've done a while back.

One thing I notice is that my left shoulder is rolled forward more than my right.

Video was cool, but whats his leg extension saying? Thats the real measure.

Too bad dude doesn't play for Houston too.

damn man, hope it all goes well. i dealt with a similar issue, well still do. but it’s getting better and not painful anymore. **** takes time and is frustrating but hang in there and it’ll get better

you walk into any gym regardless of crossfit, powerlifting, globo gym there’s plenty of people willing to pay to lift with **** form, a high percentage at that. the problem is egos, lack of patience and an unwillingness to look like a beginner. if dude made it to the league doing what he was doing he’s probably unwilling to change it because it’s what “worked” for him.

plus watching lifting videos from a lot pro athletes are kinda cringe

A good PT is like a wizard. So knowledgeable

I need to go back. Since my knee pain started I lost all the muscle in my leg. Quads hamstrings calf everything. Now my right leg is tiny compared to my left

Def sounds like hate. Son talking about his form when dude is clearly a physical beast. I’d rather look like Carson with bad form than have great form and not be as swole as him,

It's crazy how professional athletes can't find a coach to teach them proper form or they have strength coaches that know nothing. He's just begging for his legs to snap in half with that leg press

His extension range is perfect actually. I don't see anywhere where he's resting the weight on his knees. You have to consider the size of his quads which may give off the impression he's locking out too much because of how wrinkly the knee area of his pants are. If his quads sits 1" higher than his knee on a horizontal plane it will appear his knees are bending in. What you're not seeing is that his tibia and femur are aligned correctly

If im a new coach and wanted to start offering coaching for powerlifting, how much do yall think is reasonable?

I was thinking $50 a month but just wanted some thoughts

Are you programming and meal planning too? I'd say up to a $100 a month for both if so.

PL coach prices are prolly be different than GPP or Fit/Fig coaching...

I'm not sure what the average rates are for powelifting coaches, but that seems pretty low to be considering yourself a coach. I understand you're just starting off and want build up your clientele, but don't sell yourself short. Being at a lower price tier can bring people who aren't really serious. You don't want that cause your clients represent you. I'd say look at the average rate in your area and price it there or maybe a little below that

You should be coaching close to a dollar a minute with you’re face to face with a client. If you’re emailing copy and paste stuff 100 a month minimum. Time is money baby

There's a group of 3 girls that come in around the time im finishing up. 2 of them seem like they legit want to lift, but their forms are awful. and the skinniest one is trying to do way more weight than she can actually do. I almost stepped in today, but just this PF gym culture I just dont know how that will be received. the older ladies ask me for advice all the time. Just this younger generation im not trying to have no problems. They're not doing anything that would get them injured just very incorrect form on pretty basic stuff like tricep pull downs. incline db press. standing bi curls..
one more month til my PF membership is up and I'm a free agent again .
