You didn't need surgery? And what did the tablets do?I've had kidney stones twice - can't even describe the pain. Just hallucinating and writhing around. Morphine makes it all go away though and then a few weeks of some tablets and the next scan gave me the all clear.
That's what I get for taking handfuls of heartburn tablets through my 20s, solved the problem instead and no issues now.
Most people don't need surgery for kidney stones. Morphine makes the pain go but it also opens up the tubes so you can pass the stone.
I had ultrasound each time. The first time it showed there were a few more but they said they'd just wait and see. 6 months later it happened again so they gave me meds to flush them out - went like a racehorse for a few weeks - and then another scan which showed they had all gone.
If they hadn't gone the next step is ultrasound treatment to break them up - it gives your insides quite a pummelling so I'm glad I didn't have to have it. Nice to know they're not still lurking too.
Had mine removed a couple years ago, incisions are a little painful but not a big deal. I had it done on a Friday and was back to work on Monday. Be close to a bathroom if you decide to eat really fatty/greasy food.
My girl has no gal bladder and type 1 diabetes and lik 1/3 of her pancreas left. I know she is supposed to be eating healthier than she does, but often her friends and famil don't help her and even convince her things are ok and to just go out and eat with them. What type of diet should she be on and moreso, to lose weight as a type 1 diabetic, is it even possible? Whenever we exercise (especially sex), her sugar drops profusely so then she just has to eat candy or chocolate to get it back up again. I assume you could replace quick, simple processed sugars for whole food ones like fruit and juices but I don't know. She has another appointment tomorrow, just got her stents taken out of her pancreas, and is going to ask the doctor if she can get the automatic pump
She checks her sugar and eats bout every 3-4 hours, if it's either low or high, she either does a shot in her stomach or back of arm fat. I really need to get a refresher on it since we spend so much time together just in the event of emergency and I have to do it for her.
can u mention the flush out part? like did u notice, or it just kinda dissolved?
