I prefer the piped tongues too, obviously. Besides for the aesthetic i think that they stay in the middle better than the non-piped which seem to be crooked some times.

I think every enthusiast in here prefers a piped tongue over the other...

some of nice pairs didn't have piped tongue, grey JDI, mini-swoosh black/grey/blue and some others (curry retro, atmos elephant, etc etc)

^^ There are still some cool pairs without it, classics even, but with the abundance of AM1s dropping lately it helps the wallet to look for the finer details.. especially with GRs. One of my grails (teals) doesn't have piping.. Living in hope they retro at some point.
