Sounds like it doesn’t matter to him if he’s checked out. I don’t even blame the org. Sure they could be better. Dude doesn’t want to be there. That’s on him.

Running from the grind.

What grind Lmaoo this team is horrible structured . This year and last year . They are one of the worst defensive teams in the league . Zion don’t help with defense either . Paying cj 35 million gets u over the hump and makes you a contender ???? . While having the worst starting point guard ??? 150 mills tied up between cj and Devonte ?

21 years old your very much in the grind. Can’t blame the organization when you’re not available. You got a border all star in Ingram and they got you a playmaker in CJ. Devonte doesn’t start anymore so you dead that. $11Ms annually is light in the NBA. Even though he has been bad.

Teams lead by 21 year olds don’t contend. They made moves to become a playoff team last year. Thanos ain’t healthy and doesn’t want to be there so it doesn’t matter.

You know teams that draft #1 are in a position to do so for a reason right?

You want to see Lebron James’ rookie/soph year Cavs rosters?

A lot of these kids were pampered and had their career in their control since day one. They got to choose the college they want to play for, so when you lose all that control and get drafted by a team you don’t want to play for, reality hits fast.

New generation wants everything handed to them. They got more power than they think though so Zion could easily bounce outta there.
Word. I remember when getting to the league was appreciated. Now they want say as rookies.

Yeah man these new kids. Back in my day Steve Francis LOVED playing in Vancouver.

You can’t make any real money in New Orleans if every number one pick you draft wants out.

That may not be on the owners. That might be just be on the market. Maybe the owners have done all they can.

New Orleans just doesn’t care enough. It’s not sustainable. Time to move on.

Yea you can blame the org their roster is horrible

Tomas satoransky
Kira lewis
Garret temple
Devonte graham
Kira Lewis

They replaced Jrue and zo for these guys ?
Lmaoo stop it man you gassed up all these guys and their certified bums gone from the pelicans long term plans in a matter of 6 months

Kira Lewis and naw backcourt ?????

Or a Devonte and naw backcourt ???

They produced the worst numbers in the league for guards and they can’t play defense . Can’t shoot can’t rebound can’t defend undersized

Just admit all your takes this year are laughable at this point
Worst shooting guard point guard combo in the league

It’s starting…..

What's suprising to me is that Zion seemed like a down-to-earth dude. Maybe it's just his laxed personality. It's clear now there's been 0 initiative to become a leader, there's 0 initiative to take care of his body, there's 0 initiative to turn this franchise around.

Sure the Pels are far from a perfect team, they have a far from a perfect GM, but guess what? They now have 4 proven all-star caliber players, they can easily build around that and become a competitive playoff team. Easily. But it starts with him.

What also worries me is that because there's little to no initiative, has his game already stagnated? We saw a potentially good defensive player in college, but he's such a big liability in the NBA, he's also relied heavily on his power and natural ability to score the ball at an elite level, but will he work on his game some more to add to his arsenal?

Something's up with Zion and it doesn't look good.

In a 2007 New York Times article, this quote from Tellem surfaced about Kobe in Charlotte:

“That is an impossibility,” Bryant’s agent, Arn Tellem, said at the time. “There are no ifs. It would not happen. He is going to be a Laker, and that’s the only team he’s playing for.”

And the Hornets were not the only team Kobe was never going to play for.

“We got an ultimatum from Kobe, too,” Sacramento Kings player personnel director Jerry Reynolds said. “Not just Charlotte. We were at No. 14, and we were strongly considering taking Kobe, but he was gone.”
