I have a close friend who only buys each of iteration of Ace Combat and Call of Duty. Between the two games, he probably plays 10 hours a week, every week.
For what it's worth, he said AC7 is very good.

PS5 will be backwards compatible with digital PS4 titles. Physical should also be included you would have to think.
Rumors have been circulating that Sony is trying to figure out a way to get PS3 working and it's causing some issues due to the cell-processing.

My pick would be AC:Odyssey, especially if you can get the DLC down the road.
I really enjoyed it, and there is so much content it'll keep you busy for a while. My save got wiped, or I would have went for the plat.
