Yeah I'm sure editors are checking for spelling errors and incorrect grammar.....they probably are not policing them for usage and context with the sheer volume of work they have to do and the deadlines.




Some folks are probably doing it for the humor though, I know I would slide in a few innocent jokes to keep things fresh from time to time if I were a writer/editor.
