what I mean is I personally don't think it does. If they did this to Whites, Hispanics, or Asians the outcome would be the same depending on that person. THEY personally think the reaction would be greater going to "the hood" which is why it's stupid.

As much as I personally feel like they should be taught a lesson in the most violent way. I really hope it doesn't happen, all mainstream media will focus on is the senseless violence that occured as the result of a prank. As if the people being pranked knew what was going on before hand .

I knew this would come up. Yea, he didnt start running, he didnt throw it to the ground, etc.etc.

Not saying that they shouldn't have been angry, but the fact that their immediate reaction was violence is unsetttling. Think about it.

What would you do? I'm really asking this question, because you fail to see the disrespect associated with what happened. At the end of the day we as human beings have the ability to assess risk and act on it. Obviously he didn't pose a threat to the men in clip, but if he was armed, I doubt they would have reacted the same way. The same can be said if the tables were turned. If the hood dudes did this prank and went up to soft looking people, ofcourse none of them would buck. They would let them take it, then call the cops later. WHy? Because they assessed the risk associated with retrieving that phone and realised it isn't worth it.

But if it were some herbs like them,majority of the people would get their phone back. The only thing they would say is WTF are you doing before they grab it from them and get physcial.

You don't go into the lions den and bother the lion and when you get bit you ask why did the lion bite me.

This is what will happen if and when things escalate. THey will keep saying it was a prank, like that absolves them of all responsiblity. If the hood dudes did this, the cops would be on them before they could say it was just a prank.

They deserve to get hands put on them and get the daylights beat out of them and their cameras broken.

I don't mind a harmless prank but being a to total douche, walking up on people snatching their phones or trying to fight them then running behind the "its just a prank" excuse is lame to me. Hope someone puts an end to their pranking career.

In NYC, not sure where though, but I'm guessing Brooklyn. They usually target Brownsville, Coney Island PJ's, etc.
