I heard this somewhere......

But an American went to work overseas in Europe somewhere and asked about sick time and PTO and people were so confused like "if you feel sick just stay at home" likenits not a big deal.....

Is that true?

Thanks for the answers all. Yes, holiday pay. Set amount per year, think I get 28 days paid leave.

Yes, paid sick leave as well. It does depend where you work but where I am has paid sick leave. Can't have too many days off in a set time frame, depends on the severity of your illness I guess.
