It's disconcerting that she reacts this way without consequences. Obviously, if the roles were reversed, his 14-year old son is walking away in handcuffs; however, she walks away scot-free.

Furthermore, the manager handled this situation extremely poorly. All he had to do was go to the hotel phone line and dial her number to identify if it's hers or not—straightforward resolution.
