I would suggest some bourbon like I always do but mixing that with the vodka you posted is probably not the best idea  Champagne is always a good choice for NYE. You don't have to spend a ton to get good stuff either. You can usually find Piper Heidsieck for 35-40$.

Whisky, especially japanese whisky, Nikka, gin, vodka, cognac XO, armagnac, and rum.

I drink whisky and rum pure (used to drink mixed with Coca Cola and ice cubes).

I prefer rum than whisky because I have never been sick wih it, and it gives me an adrenaline. Whisky sometimes made my throat so dry that I have to wake up to drink water...

What I love about rum is the softness and the strongness at the same time. Easy to drink, but real effects...I only drink dark rum.

A few years back used to pay a 21 years of Ballantine's for a decent price, better whisky I have ever drink...Soft as hell, used to drink it directly from the bottle...

Real talk, harder to get good bourbons & whisky than YZYs these days.
Very true, and I live less than an hour away from most of the bourbon distilleries. Some stuff is becoming super hard to find and it's not even just the crazy rare stuff like Pappys either.

Many whisk(e)y heads say that the peak was during the early 2000s, before the wealthy Asians entered this market. My dad still boasts that back in '98 he bought 2 cases of Bowmore Black ed. 1 for $85/bottle. Many enthusiasts have moved on to Rhum agricoles, armagnac and cognac due to better aged stock numbers. I can't stand NAS "special blends."

The only "Pappy" I could find here in Bay Area
Better then what I found this year which was nothing.
Used the money I had set aside for Pappys for 2 bottles of Jeffersons Ocean and saved the rest in case I run into some Kentucky Owl or any of the Buffalo Trace antique collection. Jeffersons Ocean was definitely a surprise,if you get a chance I would recommend giving it a try.

I'm not a specialist but I can appreciate an Aberlour 18 yo while 12 yo doesn't taste enough for me, A Bunadh is a great one, the strong and soft thing I guess, I really feel like rum is way easy to appreciate, it's like jazz music, no need to do efforts to enjoy it, while whisky can easily be like classic music :s I think I'll post a pic of some bottles

^^^ I enjoy rum quite a bit but don't drink it often.Even rarer occasion that I drink it straight. Only had one opportunity to try Cuban rum mostly just had the common stuff,Appleton Estate,Sailor Jerrys etc.
