No lie ... That is exactly how I feel ... We all worship a God or Creator at least .. You have to know that something started something ...
I feel like we are just in another stage in an ever-changing cycle of life. This could be pergatory now and you would never know, this could be hell and wewould never know.
Maybe our memories from our past life are hidden somewhere in the 90% percent of our brain that we don't use.
Needless to say, the "GENERAL" pretty much spoke my over all thoughts to the T.

I believe that there is a God/higher power
and that's it.
and yes..i grew up going to church every Wednesday and Sunday, as a Baptist.
but i'm no longer fooled by a book that has been altered more times than MJ's face (R.I.P.)
i always tell someone, when i'm on this subject.... how can you say your religion is the "Right" religion?
the only religion that will get you into "Heaven"?
for the sake of argument... what if little Daniel was brought up as a Catholic and little Hakeem was brought up as a Muslim?
both lived very honest lives were good people, and had faith in their religion 100%?
Daniel says that Hakeem is going to Hell for not believing in the "Right" God and vice versa.
You telling me God is going to smite an honest, well mannered human being just because of what religion/enviroment his guardians raised him in?

Slavery:

Sex Slavery:
When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please theman who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. Killing of Homosexuals:
"If a man lies with a male as with a women, both of them shall be put to death fortheir abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives." (Leviticus 20:13)
Killing of Adulterers:
"If a man commits adultery with another man's wife, both the man and the woman must be put to death. (Leviticus 20:1)
Killing of Non-Virgin Women:
"But if this charge is true (that she wasn't a virgin on her wedding night), and evidence of the girls virginity is not found, they shallbring the girl to the entrance of her fathers house and there her townsman shall stone her to death, because she committed a crime against Israel by herunchasteness in her father's house. Thus shall you purge the evil from your midst." (Deuteronomy 22:20-21)
Rape:
"As you approach a town to attack it, first offer its people terms for peace. If they accept your terms and open the gates to you, then all thepeople inside will serve you in forced labor. But if they refuse to make peace and prepare to fight, you must attack the town. When the LORD your God handsit over to you, kill every man in the town. But you may keep for yourselves all the women, children, livestock, and other plunder. You may enjoy the spoilsof your enemies that the LORD your God has given you." (Deuteronomy 20:10-14)

Tell me this LOBO. If there is a life after this, what do you suppose we do with the bad men who caused so many problems on this world?
We don't really know who will get in if there is a Heaven. So I wont get into that. But seriously what do you suppose? If there is an afterlife, the badmen of this world can't be rewarded for living a life of evil can they?
Would you rather stay in your house for the rest of your life , constantly checking the windows ,
gun on your lap , afraid that someone is going to rob you ? Or would you rather stop worrying ,
have faith in yourself ... knowing that you locked the windows , & whatever happens , happens
because you've done all you can do ? I know I'm not a bad person ... I should be worthy if

I don't know who exactly gets in. I'm not God or anyone in the know. See I can tell you there are some type of rules you have to follow. Wouldn'tmake much sense to me to live a life on terms you decide and then expect to receive the same reward that others who earned it.
You are worthy of the "Kingdom" even though you help turn people away from God and his imagination land? That doesn't make much sense now doesit? "God is made up, but if there is a Heaven I deserve to go."
Lobo haven't we been through this before? You post scripture to fit your agenda and I post the possible meaning of it and nothing gets solved?

wow we talked about this at church last night at our mens class. well not directly about the subject but we watched a pastor preach about dealing with allsexual temptations when in a releationship and being a single christian. just really covered all issues about sex like whats right and whats wrong(sin). well ilearned that god made sex for us and yadda bla. but....related to what heaven is like. the topic of masturbation came up then it went to orgasms. i learnedthat when we have an orgasm it is similar to the felling you get when you get the holy ghost or shouting(praising god),..and when we have an orgasm it isintended to give us a glimpse of what heaven feels like. i know im not explaining this clearly but the video was very informative. when i find out the name ofit id be glad to share it. its something every male and female should see christian or not.

The problem I have with this scenario is that it entirely too hypothetical for me to appreciate and give an answer void of cynicism. Honestly, Ilike it like it is. Everything is laid out. I won't be the typical Atheist Apologist. I am not at all hurt or wishful that there is a god. Like Ihave said plenty of times here, I am more than happy that there isn't a god because the god that is in the bible is a terrible one. That's a creator Iwould never acknowledge or genuflect to. I am pleased with knowing there isn't such a thing, because if there is a god, he is doing a really badjob.

Everything you've quoted reside in the Old Testament (And I see you've quoted from Leviticus and Deuteronomy which are ALL about laws) inwhich the penalty for sin was death since Jesus hadn't died yet resulting in the killing of sinners. That's my take on it. And as for the slavery, itDOES seem that the Bible supports slavery but what we have to understand is that slavery was very much different from what it was not that long ago. Theverses you quoted actually tell the Israelites how to treat the slaves. We understand that God loves slaves as much as anyone else because, for one,Israelites were also slaves in Egypt so we can't point fingers and claim that God loves one kind of people more than the other. That's just my twocents and correct me if I'm wrong.
