about 5 years ago....he's turning 46 next week
Also, I think Walter Jones ran a 4.7 40 at the combine....mind you he is 6'5" 330
ath·lete (thlt) KEY
NOUN:
A person possessing the natural or acquired traits, such as strength, agility, and endurance, that are necessary for physical exercise or sports, especially those performed in competitive contexts.
i'll take the underdog and say basketball players are more athletic. yes its amazing to see a 280 lb man w/ blazing speed, but to me watching VC do a 360 off of the wrong foot is phenomenal. but i'm partial to basketball. also, i think its a different type of athleticism
your an idiot.

1) Football
2) Hockey
3) Soccer
4) Bball
5) Baseball
Of the major sports of course.
I didn't know a 40 inch vertical was the cutoff to be a top athlete...how many nba "athletes" can skate? let alone shoot and pass and check. basketball players can jump high, yes...but highjumpers can jump even higher, are they more atheltic?
When people talk use the worth athleticism they are referring to natural ability that is untrained or trained very little. Like speed, quicknessor strength. Using a hockey stick or skating isnt considered athletic in this post. You can teach anyone to skate in theory. And alot of the most athleticplayers arent the best at their sport. So how good you are at using a stick has nothing to do with how athletic you are. You cannot teach anyone who is 290pounds to run a 4.5-4.6 40 yard dash (Julius Peppers or Mario Williams)
I dont really see how there can be a debate. The NFL wins in almost anyway you slice it. Yes every sport has TOP ATHLETES that are just as athletic as anyathlete in any sport. But from top to bottom the NFL has the highest quality and quanity of athletes in any sport. The LEAST athletic person in the NFL is moreathletic then the LEAST athletic person in any of the other sports. And the Most athletic players in the NFL are just as or more athletic then the cream of thecrop in other sports.
People do not sleep on Hockey players. From top to bottom they have alot of high quality athletes as well. There isnt a big drop off from the most athletic tothe least athletic like you see in Baseball or maybe even basketball
Damn I know cats 100 pounds lighter then him that can't even get up and touch rim.....Originally Posted by Roscoe P Wallace
NFL, no doubt. Sean Rodgers of the Lions can dunk. Now he might be 6'4", but hes also like 360 lbs.... all these dudes are beasts.
