those who are already on win10, how are the older programs installed? anyone who has autodesk products, or adobe products? all working fine? tia

As far as i can tell all my old programs and documents are still there. Granted its only been a day but my general impressions are that the upgrade is basically an overhaul of the ui from what im used to. I think the only program i lost was media center but i never really used that anyway.

I just upgraded from 8 and it's better than osx imo
Adobe CC suite is working fine...
Reason, protools, cubase, etc. running with no issues
Steam and all installed games running like butter...
System feels a bit faster... and chrome isn't having issues anymore
the one glitch is that people with an nvidia graphics card may get their driver replaced with a generic windows one... which causes multiple monitor setups to cease working.... nvidia has windows 10 ready drivers released on the 28th to remedy this...

^ on the 28th of august? thats too long. i just did my upgrade, looks like all my settings were kept, even boot up programs are working like normal.
my laptop runs an nvidia gpu, and i noticed that my color set up and brightness wer changed, ill tinker with it in the morning

Used the technical build on a Laptop and VM at work and it was quick and snappy with all the best bits of 7 and 8.1.
I'm going to wait for a couple weeks on my personal PC though.

I was getting used to Windows 8, but I didn't find it very convenient.
I only used a few apps(Netflix, eBay), because Windows is missing a lot of them.

Upgraded from Windows 7 last light, overall impressions are...meh.
Maybe it's because I haven't has as much time with it, but it doesn't feel as 'quick and snappy' as I've read. In fact, if feels kinda laggy when compared to Win 7.

No, they're giving away legit keys because of how many people were given pirated copies of Windows 7/8. Its not some secret attempt to gain access to pirates' machines.

the money is to be made through commission from the app store
Selling operating systems is the old business model
Getting as high a percentage of adoption as possible, then focusing on growing your app store = where the new money is
Windows 10 will always be free... the whole key thing is to entice people to upgrade like they are getting some type of "hook up"

My PC moves significantly faster and all my app that I know of work (Abode Photoshop, etc)
But MS sneaky af. They recording every breath you take, unless you disable it.
NO LIE!!!
ONce you install and try to use it will let you know it setting up.
You will get a blue screen saying "Get going Fast" or something.
Read that ****! MS gonna sync every one of your fap sessions on they servers,
and know you like bbw so they can send you tailored ads.
There should be a "customize" button at the bottom you press that will
actually let you disable it. Its like six different ways they wanna monitor
you chokin charlie. Read each and understand what privileges you wanna allow.
Other than that, im diggin this.

Just upgraded about an hour ago myself, and so far it's really good. I enjoyed 8.1 myself, but this is much smoother.
