Jay-Z Or Nas? Vol. Complex

Hey no need to apologize or try to sidestep your position champ, if that's how you feel that's how you feel. If you really felt that was "the general consensus and shared within a majority of the hip-hop community" and not you personally then you should have stated that as such from the beginning.

Since you did not, as it stands myself and others are just going to have to believe that is a personal sentiment given by you on the situation.  That being said even though you have only been here 1 month congratulations champ, your name is now in the big lights as seen below................hope you like it.

Hey thanks for your ringing endorsement champ.  My response to you below still has not and more importantly will NOT change.  Welcome to NT

That Illmatic infographic is stupid

BIG's been sampled more than Nas and I don't really see him as being more influential.

sad to say
dmx>jay z

Seen DMX myself and this guy gives it his ALL. Really appreciates the fans, would kill himself literally performing as he would almost pass out and fans would just see it, this guy was really about it. No fake sugar coated ish. just sad the dope got to him. Favorite song till this day, "stop being greedy". The beat reminded me of something you would hear on mortal kombat.

Bruh do you know how big Nas' tree is in terms of influence

And dont get it twisted

Jay Z is a branch on that tree

P.S. Respectfully B.I.G was one of the most talented we've ever seen but is put on such a high pedestal purely cause of his death

IMO there is a bunch of people that come before him in terms of greatness.

You misunderstood me.

I was saying that BIG isn't as influential as Nas. That's why the infographic is stupid. Amount of times sampled does not equate to influence.

I apologize

You rep the 49ers, and Jay-Z but you from the DMV?  You don't have any hometown pride?
If you are able to see the team I rep, and my avy then you clearly should be able to see Team DC/MD/VA in my permanent signature.  Either that or you choose not to see it.  Learn how to make a coherent/correct statement or find yourself a new message board to post on.  Self-inflicted wounds one after another on your end champ.

The thing I like most about message boards especially Niketalk is that it is a level playing field when it comes to writing. My sentences are VERY coherent, to the mordant, so what I wrote may very well be an "asinine statement of the month" to you and your peers. Nonetheless the 8 years I've spent on Niketalk has taught me that real recognizes real and we'll leave it that. I wouldn't want anyone reevaluating their social status.

...but I will say this, if you can poke fun at what I wrote demonstrating you have the intelligence to decode the original statement about SSLP, vs RTD and ILL then AGAIN you just pointed out your own ineptitude by stating I "chose not to see it". Where would I have gotten the information about you being from the DMV other then your signature?
From a profiler's point of view it's already been established, you admire me, you want my respect and value my opinion. Secondly and most importantly you answered my question through your admirable fatuity, you don't have any home town pride which means you're living in a situation you'd prefer to get out of (Or you just could be a lying *** screen name). I'm willing to bet your peers look up to you, because of your confidence and I will admit your doltishness being far superior than my own is most likely the reason why. So I'll agree that you're in a class to judge, I'd judge me too if I was in your position.

Sorry bro.

people really believe this?
This is where Hip-Hop splinters in consensus, if Jay-Z tells you himself he big up'd Biggie by spittin' his lyrics and Hov is known for being a "big willy" rapper. That should conclude that Nas is better than Jay-Z because Biggie came at Nas and lost, not only that to add insult to injury Puff wanted to sign Nas before and after Big sub'd Nas on "Kick In The Door".

Big needed Nas's spot, he settled for second best but ended up being held to a greater respect because of circumstances surrounding his death. But if Big was alive today, Nas would be better than Big.

He would've prolly ether'd Pac too.

Here's a lesson for you champ, when you're in a hole...........stop digging.  You are making yourself and others look bad.  I don't give a damn if you been on Niketalk for 8 years or just 8 minutes.  At the end of the day if one person (@John Hancock) looks bad........we all look bad, and you my friend most certainly look bad.  It's time for you to do some soul-searching champ, and either shape up or ship out.   It's on you.

I think DMX makes better music, and he doesn't seem as fake or corny
Nothing wrong with that, that's your opinion.

Big in 2nd place to Nas

Why the hell would Big need Nas's spot? So you're saying Big wanted to make worse albums and less money?

Big>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Nas
