Hasn't worn off on my yet but I think it will depend on their upcoming updates such as trading, PvP and events.

Addition of new Pokemons are probably the least of my concern right now but the biggest thing they have work with are the servers, I could see many just getting tired and turned off by the freezes when you catch a Pokemon or simply being unable to play whenever there's some free time.

Like right now, servers seems to be down again.

It hasn't worn off for me, my main focus is getting to level 20. Really looking forward to gym battles. I also think its only a matter of time till we have PvP battles and when that happens I'll really be going in.

I gotta stop coming in this thread when in work lol i always got NO GPS signal and theres a damn lure right outside my building constantly that i know i would be able to reach
Might just be the building you're in...but I had the same issue the first few days. I tried turning on wifi, and the GPS picked up. Didn't need to connect to any network. Give it a shot. Good luck.
TAKE THESE REPS !

What's the fun in cheating a game like this?...lmao...never understood the logic...just come off as desperate.

Need new content because right now I am hitting a wall and the marginal returns are too low.

What I want to see

Better Gym system. There should be a minimum cp/lvl requirement for taking over a gym. The player that took down the gym should be given first dibs to claims it. The prestige lost is too punitive, anyone even with trash mons can gang up on the gyms lowest cp mon, not really fair. There should also be a 5-10 min cool down for gym owners who got ousted from reclaiming the same gym.
A computer defending a gym is also stupid, no way my golduck at cp 1k should be able to take out a cp 2k snorlax

Items and pokemons be tradable. Players should be awarded with dust at pokestops
Harder to catch pokemons should give more exp points. Using 10 ultra balls on a mon for 100xp is a joke.
Classic RPG turn based battles
A comprehensive transparent pokemon stat system, CP doesnt tell us anything at all

Maybe a long shot but I want to see a ladder/seasons like system like the ones they have on mmos
keeps the game competitive

Idk what else I am missing but thats it for now.

What Slowpoke do I keep? Plan on evolving it soon

CP 463
Weight XL
Height Regular
Water Gun 10
Psyshock 40

CP 376
Weight Regular
Height Regular
Confusion 12
Psychic 50

EDIT: Had to fix the attacks

Went on a 1 1/2 hour jog this morning at the park/sportsplex across the street from me. Turns out it's a Scyther spawn. Caught a few ranging from 350-570. Also had a 2k egg hatch into a 365 squirtle so my day has been pretty good so far

I haven't had the chance to play much so for me the excitement is still there. Honestly I'd most likely keep playing even if the hype dies down.

Nostalgia

Canada officially got the game today or yesterday and i'm hearing people are coming across many Snorlax's.

The novelty hasn't worn off for me, but frustration might be what turns me off from playing. Servers and glitches starting to severely debilitating any desire I have to play.

I don't go into gyms that often, so I can't speak on what needs improvement on that front. It would be nice if I could battle with my friends though. I agree with shatterkneesinc shatterkneesinc . CP doesn't really tell you anything. It would be nice If the Pokemon could learn new moves and have a more comprehensive stats system.

There also has to be a better system for gaining XP. It doesn't make sense that you get the same amount of XP whether you catch a 19 CP Magikarp or a 1000 CP Gyrados.

The novelty hasn't worn off yet. But my interest will slow down as it becomes to physically tiring. There definitely is diminishing marginal utility for each pokemon caught. Catching new pokemon is exciting, but then you realize it takes many more of them to level or evolve, it gets tiring.

It also takes too much work to even get into the game. The "casual" players will get absolutely nowhere. Likely to rarely see any pokemon at all, or see the same common ones over and over again.

They should have made the battling and leveling system more  exactly like regular pokemon

I can understand why they decided not to. They still need to put out the games for business purposes. Making the games more like Pokemon Go would basically eliminate anyone from buying a Gameboy and the games for $60.

Why? I don't understand why players want stardust. There's no point in powering up your Pokemon. You'll just find stronger ones as you level up.

Cmon man, it gets exponentially harder to lvl. I aint grinding a million xp to reach 30
aint got time fo that
The reason why I want more dust is so theres more build diversity. Dont want to invest all my dust into a pokemon and then later on you find something nice/different but dont have the dust to level it

Did they take out the eevee trick? It worked for me before but I just now named one of my eevee Rainer and it evolved into flareon :smh:

Finally saw a ******* Squirtle & this ******* game crashes on me

****

Yeah, now trying having that happen to you at least 5 times a day. Imagine that happens when you try catching something like a Blastoise? Luckly for you, Squirtle is fairly common and there's a good chance you'll see it again.

THIS is why I see myself not playing after awhile. Niantic needs to roll up their sleeves and seriously fix these issues.
