I've been thinking lately..
My Dad is getting up there in age and I don't expect him to pass on anytime soon, nor do I want him too, but since he is getting older we recently talked about his will. I know just about exactly what I'm going to inherit in assets and funds. I won't be inheriting billions of dollars, but I will be well off. I have my own career where I'm making decent money and it's a separate entity from my fathers business. I grew up with my own dreams and ambitions and I'm pursuing them as we speak. Hell, I even paid for college myself. But it never really hit me until recently that I have a cushion to fall back on, so to speak. I'm wondering if I were to know what I know now if I would have been acting differently a few years ago. I mean, I just read about 22-year-old http://www.tmz.com/person/petra-ecclestone/Petra Ecclestone buying that multi million dollar mansion and it makes me think. She's in fashion doing what she loves. That's great and I would do what I loved too. But what is her train of thought like? I mean to spend 85 mil on a house..wow. That's crazy. I don't know how she did it. Not that money is everything in the world..but I couldn't imagine living without worrying to some degree about my finances. And I especially couldn't imagine spending millions of dollars all the time.
What would you live your life like if you were a trust fund baby? Would you carve your own path? Kick it? Ball out? Just travel? Make it rain on strip clubs 24/7? Do charity work?
I honestly don't know what I would do.
