OFFICIAL LIL WAYNE DEDICATION 4 (NO LIE TRACK FROM D4) DELAYED AGAIN till SEPT 3rd 4pm

i think people got in they head that they dnt like wayne so they dont like it if its hot or not. im a true wayne fan so i noe that he is hit or miss can be great or trash but he did his thing on no lie and drama not gonna let him  **** up on a dedication. some of his best stuff was on a dedication so i expect some of the same.

dawg you are joking. i'm not going to insult you just because of your opinion, but i really think you are joking.
tell me you're joking.

 We'll jus' wait for the tape to drop, then.

but you gotta understand that came out like 6 years ago fam, he had been threw so many phases threw out his life he knows what poppin in the streets and whats not, he also knows how to lose fans BUT also gain more as he raps about different stuff Exp like this skating phase that he is in, he's bringing in all these new generation of kids who love skating and are also the same kids who look up to tony hawk, mullen, sheckler because they see them in videos with him and showing up at events like X-Games. WEezy is a smart man A student he knows how to make that money and he will do that which ever way he can, I'm pretty sure he don't give  a **** what people think he already was at the top during his prime when D2,Drought3 and all came out. Do the kids understand what he could possibly be rapping about now-a-days who knows but thats not gonna stop them from listening to it and putting money in his pockets. As long as them kids hear skateboarding or trukfit they'll like it

Im a fan of weey and ya his new **** aint compared to his old but he even said it himself like even if he tried he couldn't go back to that flow from D2. Not enough people give the man his props. You can love em or hate but you gotta recognize that at one point he was at the top. Iknow that if he was to drop at least another solid Album/Mixtape that y'all like you would change your mind right up.

thats just my opinion though, i know theres alotta people that don't f wit wayne in her but yea

Truest thing ever right here. :pimp:

Thanks for the heads up but I can't mess with current Wayne. Dedication 1,2 & Da Drought 3 & Tha Carter II, and some of Tha Carter III are the only Weezy tapes worth listening to. Everything else is trash

and lock it up now gentlemen

idc what yall say.... that banana peel/pill line was

i asked in another thread but dont think i got an answer....

does wayne perform his earlier work like the block is hot days? forgot the names of the others, but when he was like a teen?

Is the track listing that is floating around the internet the official track listing? If it is then I'm looking forward to this tape. Those features and beats are looking like good choices.

What's funny with tunechi is that, all the time I hear that "he's lost it" or "he isn't the Drought 3 or dedication II wayne" and all that.
And that couldn't be further from the truth. He's almost the EXACT same person rapper wise and that actually may be the problem. Listen to Wayne now, and listen to some of his older records. They're still filled with ABC punchlines, giggles, rapping all over the place, etc. except for minor changes.
When most heard tune for the first time, or when people first got acclimated with the Dedication series and the Drought series, very few rappers were rapping the way he was. You were also a lot younger, which aided into how dope you thought it was.
Naturally, evolution occurred. We got older, started hearing more rappers do the punchline rapping better than he did, and even started hearing "honesty rap" from likes of Kendrick, Sean, J. Cole, Drake, Big Krit, etc. guys who albeit use punchlines, use them to aid in telling the story that they are trying to get across, not to describe something or someone, which is what got Wayne popping.
Now, everyone says Wayne is trash, when in actuality he isn't trash, he's just the same as everybody else. He sounds like 2 chainz now actually which isn't a testament to how bad wayne is, but it just proves how the style he virtually introduced (save the cassidy, and other rappers) to mainstream for this millennium is everywhere. (Even though over the past few years that has started to change, see the rappers mentioned above)
Wayne hasn't changed, he's still that artist from the D2, drought era, and we associate that era with Wayne being good just because it was new. Fast forward to 2012, we have a bunch of rappers who are similar to him, and better than him, and because we are older we recognize that.

Ehh, I agree with some of that. While his formula is still the same, its extremely watered down from what it used to be.

For the record though even in his heyday when D2 came out I still thought Wayne was average. His punchlines were better then, but I could never get with the complete lack of cohesiveness in most of his songs.

How in the world did I miss shoeking's original post   ? Other than him saying Wayne isn't trash (which he is), I pretty much agree with the rest. Wayne has been average at best even in his Hot Boy days, but his limitations were masked by his youth, and Juvenile & BG being much better than him, along with Turk being a little bit better. Even during his original Dedication phase, he was never that good. Slightly different at the time, but different =/= good. And exactly like shoeking said, just like people who were young coming up being influenced by Biggie/Pac/Nas/Jay etc, the later generation (unfortunately) was influenced by Wayne, which is why there's a boatload of empty, directionless, hashtag punchline rappers running rampart in hip hop today.

I really don't understand how he fell off when I swear EVERYBODY was banging 6'7', She Will and I'm On One which all came out just last year. He's def lazier and not every feature has replay anymore but he still has talent. It's like people hate to hate. Get a life. No Lie verses are strong.

The **** up bruh. You sound butthurt because the majority of posters on here aren't in line with your opinions.

I love the misuse & overuse of the word "hate" as well.

People bang kesha and nicki minaj too, doesn't mean it's not trash.

You named 3 songs out of the 100 or so that he put out in the last couple of years

Its not hating just because we dont like the music he's been putting out, foh

I liked the freestyle wasnt nothing great tho

I wish he would do a mixtape with Currensy or Manny Fresh these have been the only 2 people who have got Wayne to return to raw form

Correct me if Im wrong but all 3 of those were #1 hits and they were hot....3 hot number 1s last year and y'all say he ain't been hot in 5 years..knock it off. I admit he's not nearly as consistent but he owned the game for like a 3 year run, what do you expect.

you can add to da fact that when lil wayne was a ROOKIE he was GAARRBAGE compared to da likes of his hot boys cohorts, juvenile and ESPECIALLY B.G.

so when he got better and better it surprised da HELL outta people, but he was never touching real spitters, he just took a gigantic leap in skill set from uber trash, to average punchline rapper, and coming from da south thats a HUGE jump.

Why so much hate for the south Ninjahood? Go bump the carter 1, old squad up mixtapes, the suffix, dedication 1, w. carter collections and come back and tell me that is the same rapper we see today.

He is horrible now. Not even close to the the rapper that he was around 03-07. He was very good then, not great....but definitley more than an average punchline rapper.
