It's the Hawthorne Plaza. Roughly 10 minutes away from LAX. Actually used to go there when it was still operating.

I second the use of solid color seamless roll paper just because the wrinkles/creases fabric backdrops are annoying and no amount of ironing seems to get them out for me. I only truly use fabric when shooting still life because of the different print options.

I was trying out "gels" a few weeks ago. I went to the local craft store and bought a few rolls of color cellophane. They're pretty useful as cheap gels since each roll was like 2 dollars or less.

So much this! I have the alien bees, external battery(non vagabond), and a few modifiers like parabolic umbrella and octobox. I've wasted so much money with cheap little continuous lighting setups off Amazon. I wish I would've waited to invest in just some nice inexpensive, yet reliable...

In all honesty, I don't think it makes that much of a difference. It's more so for preventing scratches than anything else.

They're pretty harmless. I have them all around my house. They're not as bad as black widows. Leave the spiders, kill the eggs though. There's about 120 - 150 little spiders per egg.

I have this case. It is very thin. I don't like that the bottom is exposed. Good if you plan on ever using any dock though

This is exactly how I felt about the cookie dough oreos. Only thing I've regretted in the year 2014 thus far.
