I just can't bring myself to believe that some of the sentiments posted on this forum are how people really feel. So, the only other thing I can think of is that trolling is just at a all time high on this forum (internet in general). Or am I just putting false hope in people. What do you think?

Can anyone answer this question for me..When scientist and other random statistics come out how do they come up with these percentages. Like they'll say they only discovered 15% of a certain species or whatever. Well how do they know about the other 85% if they don't know about the other 85%?
