Had me going through old eastbays and found this, anyone ever used to get these mailed out form FA for RDs? The JB mailouts ... still don't understand why they don't charge a subscription service fee, to reserve shoes. Should have done that 20 years ago. . .

Lotta memories in here! 1st time I ever heard of niketalk was in the trash talk section of SLAM magazine. There was a link to leaked AJXVI image. I didn’t join until 2003 but was lurking daily after seeing that leak.

Started lurking sophomore year of HS in 2003. I remember getting good info on sbs here and ordering brown pack highs through Nike special orders. 16 back then. Bout to be 34. Time flies.

02 had my first account that was quickly banned after I got sensitive when I got flamed, but I’ve had this account since 2004. Back then, this was a “weird” place, but now people converse all over the Internet. NT was a group of extended friends for me, and I’m forever grateful I stumbled upon it.

NT in many ways informed and shaped my view on Jordans. It often pains me to see the takes “modern” sneaker heads have on that period. I was only 16 at the time, but the NT OGs showed me the light.

classic NT Jordan takes that made me the shoe lover I am:
- Nike Air > Jumpman on 3-6
- Dub Zeroes are trash
- Military IVs are grail worthy
- 6Rings are trash
- Olympic 7’s match Vick jerseys perfectly
- The toe shape is ever right
- 2003-2008 quality was absolute trash

Did a web search for info on the Concord(2000) retro release and VOILA!

I figure this is the best place to ask about old members. What happened to LoveTheXIV? He was an old school dude on here that seemed to have every aj14 og and early retro ever. This was like 04ish.

I don't know what happened to dude, but I sold him several pairs around 2012/2013. Og Powder Blue IX, Og Powder Blue X, a pair of 2K4 Olympic samples, White/Red XVIII, and a few more...

This and calling the Nike Outlets. Nike Outlet Thread was gem back in the days when ogs share info and looking out for each other.

My greatest shoe come up was a result of that thread. In May 2001 someone posted that the Cabazon Outlet had Concords. I was off that day, and it's only 30 minutes away, so I grabbed my keys immediately. Get there, asked the dude if they had them and he said no, but another employee looked at my feet and asked what size I wore. "13 or 14." He said "we got these in a 14..."

Walks over with a box... Olympic 6s, for $70... "Wanna try em on?" I may have let out a slight squeak, I will neither confirm, nor deny. In between my repeated "Oh my god"s, I told him I didn't need to try em on, I'll take em.

Guys want me to break out some old eastbays, JB mailouts, footaction calenders, kicks mags, slam Jordan SE issues just @ me and I'll post some more. Got about 13 boxes of mags and mailouts that go way TF back...
Ran across my receipts for

$80.00 retail.... grabbed all 4 for like 350 after tax (+4 retro cards, and Keychains... can't even get a new release nymore. Hard enough just getting 1s now, and they're double the price with the same tech SMH.
