Best Bond 007 movie?

The two latest Bond films have been my favorites by FAR. They havent outreached to make all these crazy gadgets into the film, and its raw, you actually seeBond getting in realism fights and actually being vulnerable. I still havent seen all the older films, so I may be a bit biased in my opinion.

Dr. No was my favorite.

breakdown:

Live and Let Die wasn't bad but it was pure Blaxploitation, the movie was more disco super fly than double-O super spy, get it?

The Man with the Golden Gun was actually quite crumby, good idea, poor execution.

Dr. No and From Russia With Love were the two best pure spy films. Goldfinger set the tone for the rest of the films with the gadets and unrealistic stuff, butit was also very well made.

The first half of You Only Live Twice was absolutely amazing but they killed it with the crappy Blofeld and the armies of henchmen fighting each other.

Goldeneye was pretty good, and Tomorrow Never Dies had some great scenes and gadgets but the movie was pretty bad. The rest of Peirce Brosnans films werehorrible, as were Timothy Dalton's films even though I thought he was a great actor.

For Your Eyes Only, was also very good, Octopussy and Moonraker not so much.

Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace were exceptionally well made, coming from a die hard classic Bond fan I absolutely loved them and rank both in my top 10easily.

quantum of solace sucked like a dog on his own balls. it was jsut so bad. plus it had a 230 mil buget

Wow...to the people that said Goldeneye or Casino Royale was the best Bond film, have you guys actually seen the original Bond movies?

Your opinion is irrelevant if you chose a Bond film that Sean Connery or Roger Moore did not star in. Connery was the best, Moore was also pretty good. I'mnot saying that Craig or Brosnan weren't great Bonds (I personally dont think Brosnan was good) but the Bonds starring Connery/Moore were mostly classics.

Honestly and sadly... no. I need to step up my old school Bond game.

I grew up Peirce Brosman(sp).

when you say "Jame Bond" or"007" word association makes me picture him.

I know its tough now-a-days to watch older movies since they aren't HD or Blu Ray but your perception of the Bond franchise will change if you watch theoriginal Bonds (especially with Connery).

I think that the best Bonds were as follows...

1. Connery
2. Moore
3. Craig
4. Brosnan
5. Dalton

^ you missed one. plus Diamonds are Forever was one of the worst of the series.

Dalton only had 2 films, and they were both bad, but Brosnan's last 3 were absolutely horrible.

btw nobody's mentioned On Her Majesty's Secret Service yet, after a second watch I actually found it to be very good. Plus, it's the most true tothe novel it was adapted from. The Aussie get's a lot of flack for not being a Brit and only being in one Bond film but in retrospect he really wasn'tthat bad.

these message boards get funnier and funnier every day. thepremise of the thread was to post the 007 flick you felt was your favorite. you don't like our picks, fine, pay us no mind, but to say our opinion isirrelevant is a bit pretentious if you ask me. i wanna know who died and made you grand critic of all the bond films?

Sorry dude but Connery was the best Bond actor ever and he starred in the best Bond films. Judging by some of the responses in here, I could tellthat some NTers had not seen some of the huge Bond hits from the 60s-80s. My assumption isnt that far fetched as a great deal of NTers are still in their teensso they might not have gotten the chance to watch the older Bond movies. You cant make a judgment as to which Bond film was the best if you've only seenthe ones starring Brosnan or Craig. Its like asking "Which Laker championship team was the best ever?" but only considering the teams Kobe was on.

I have seen every Bond movie multiple times. I am a diehard fan. Goldfinger is number one in my book, but Casino Royale is a very close second.

Goldeneye only because I've never seen Casino Royale or all the Original Sean Connery & Roger Moore films
