Toronto kinda reminds me of Chicago somewhat, though. Certain areas at least. It's definitely an acquired taste and I appreciate the cultural diversity I didn't know existed here. Scholastic opportunities initially brought me here although I don't think I'm going to stay that much longer

I'm from Vancouver and the only US cities/areas I'd probably consider moving to are: NY, Bay Area, Boston.. Not that there aren't any other good UScities but Vancouver's got everything already (except all of the work opportunities)..

I like how you keep insisting that we Cdns are supposed to take these comments as jokes when they are really witty and insulting if you ask me. In my opinionyour trying to come off as an innocent outsider looking in but in actual fact after learning that there is more to Canada then your original perception youkeep telling yourself that's too good to be true and we Cdns desperately need to fall in that stereotype or else we don't exist in the States.

This is what I love about Canada, people are friendly (not everybody obviously) but say you go to Nova Scotia and such, everyone is friendly.
But in Bigger Cities, people will hold doors for you and etc. People are more polite and not so much all about themselves most of the time form my experience
