I am a dual citizenship... Canadian and American. live in Seattle, but raised in Vancouver. u dont have the redneck bigots in the major cities in Canada...also, cities are relatively safe. only thing is sales tax and income tax. but... CANADIAN HEALTH CARE > US. also, the girls are a lot hotter in canada. alot of obese whales all over the US.

How ignorant are you? How does someone seem Canadian? That's such a ridiculous comment. And you sayyou've become less ignorant about Canada since NT? I'd hate to see how ignorant you were before you got on here.

We're not socialist, we're just not all about making the rich richer and the poor poorer.

And my brother lives and goes to uni in the states and he even admits its 10x easier than it is in Canada. He was learning stuff in first and second year ofuni in the states that he learned in tenth grade in Canada. Don't look down on our post-secondary institutes because a degree from one of the big four isjust as good as most in the states.

Nice try acting like you were being 'tongue-in-cheek". You're insulting the country some of us live in. It's not that funny, chuckles. If youhad just made half the comments you made I would have just laughed it off because americans are always taking the piss out of us but you've made way toomany ignorant comments and someone needs to set you straight.

Cool it and stop making generalizations. You're not better than us so don't act like it.

......Also, co-sign on Alberta FTW

I don't know. An accent. Saying "eeh" after every sentence... Some Canadians sure can't take a joke.

There's a difference between one joke and a series of 'jokes' that are really just generalizations about a country. Which, btw, is almost identicalto yours but cleaner, safer, and smaller(edit: in terms of population and cities and stuff), you'd know this if you'd ever been here. Which obviouslyyou haven't, if you're still so hideously deluded as to what it's like here.

I'm not personally offended by what you're saying, bc it's just typical stuff that people from other countries think about us. I'm justappalled that one person can be so ignorant about a country that's right next to theirs.I figured someone should let you know before you someday findyourself in a situation where you'd like to sound like less of an idiot when discussing Canada.

we get the jokes, they're just not funny. This 51st state one just doesn't make sense. We use America, for things like entertainment and shopping. TheUS is like the 11th province.

born and raised and currently living in Toronto, I gotta say that Vancouver, Montreal, and Toronto are all bomb cities

On the real I love Canada. I been there 4 or 5 times and I can't say one bad word about it. Just a little somthing to help us americans out on vacation. Ifyou all could make a 1 and 2 dollar bill instead of teh coins Id love that. I gave some homeless guys a couple handfuls of change and was down about 20 bucks

. Soon as I can get a passport I'll for sure be back.

Generally, Life in Canada > Life in the US...this is a fact.
Your probably right, but coming out of a rough life and earning your fortunes> being spoon fed and having everything given to you.
Spoon fed? Naw, you just can't do things like buy a house worth $800,000 when you make $35K a year.
I'm talking about being raised.

What are you talking about?

Not everyone in Canada is "spoon fed". There are plenty of immigrants who have moved to Canada with little money but think its a better opportunityfor their family. Some have built very successful businesses in Canada. Even the Canadian born, some still grow up in rough neighbourhoods. Its NOT as friendlyas you might perceive. Tons of violence in the city (Toronto), its on the rise.
(but I could totally be missing what you are trying to say)

You're right, I shouldn't really generalize Canadians as being all rich.

For the record, it was a joke, I was trying to prove to c0nf0cal that living growing up in the US ain't as bad as some Canadians might think.
