It must have been that magical cocaine.
i can no longer take anything you say seriously.

you my friend have horrible taste, scarface sucked balls
I woudln't say it sucked balls, because a movie with Al Pacino in his prime is automatically good, but it is so overrated it's not even funny. Good movie, but people (like Nike Star Jay) treat it as a masterpiece, which is certainly is not.
Even if thats the case, I thought Pacino's acting in this movie was not very good. Although I'm not a fan of the accent (probably thelowest point in acting) I thought Carlito's way was a better movie

Raging Bull > any other scorcese film

I love this movie and DeNiro gave one of his top performances, possibly his best.

He's just an incredible actor...definitely my favorite.

SCARFACE....it's all about the rags to riches rapid come up, and the almost immediate downfall of TONY MONTANA!!!

why is scarface even mentioned with the likes of these 2 classics?

carlitos way > scarface

but goodfellas trumps all

That ending scene in scarface, where he took all those bullets, was influenced by Akira Kurosawa's Throne of Blood. If you thought that scene in Scarfacewas overdone you should check out the one in Throne of Blood Hazeleyed.

Seriously as a movie, Scarface is pretty terrible on nearly every level...

I'm not a big fan of Scarface myself, much prefer Casino/Goodfellas. But I think its because I'm in my twenties and the rest of yall that aren'tfeeling it are probably in your twenties or teenagers right now.

Talkin to some older folks, they said when Scarface was released, it was something fresh at the time and I think most older cats love that movie. Mepersonally, it was like a cheesy B grade flick. While Goodfellas and Casino are straight classics.

I think it's the exact opposite. There aren't really any 40 year-olds on here who were 15 when Scarface came out but there are a gang ofyoungsters who have been force-fed Scarface and the notion that it's a "classic" their entire lives... mainly by rappers. Those that are old ormature enough to form their own opinions on Scarface recognize it for what it is... which ain't very good

Scarface is not as bad a movie as this thread is making it out to be. It's just that next to Goodfellas and Casino the storytelling, acting and filmmakingdon't compare. Where Scarface is a cult classic, Goodfellas and Casino are classics of modern film
