FAT Shaming

Wouldn't it just be mainly a combination of
  • genetics
  • lifestyle choices (diet and exercise)
  • discipline
  • medical condition (from my understanding, this is extremely rare but a lot of fatties use this as an excuse)

Not sure how much more complex it is

Nah it's just calories in and out.

Medical conditions can play a part in your metabolism, ability to exercise or how your brain's responds to food/hungry. But that just means you need to recalculate your calorie needs based on that.

The size comes from somewhere. We can claim whatever we want but why is it that in other countries ain’t no water buffalos prancing around? Went to Australia and did NOT see one girl who couldn’t just throw in a bikini. It was wild.

i have been blessed with pretty good genetics and have been active pretty much my entire life but there have been periods of my life when i couldn't exercise or walk much (typically when i was injured so i literally couldn't do anything mobile) & still ate anything i wanted...still ended up with basically no weight gain

Right, so you weren't eating in surplus beyond your normal calorie needs to stay around the same weight.

how would that neglect genetics? are you literally saying genetics play no part in the amount of one's normal calorie and how your body burn and store calories?

It doesn't neglect genetics. Your genetics provide you with an individual rate of burning calories. You're not overweight because your genetics makes you burn less calories, your overweight because you consume a lot more than you burn.

Lets say you can eat an entire pizza, not gain weight and I can't because I have a low metabolism. Instead of sitting there crying about how I can't burn calories as fast as you, while I'm scarfing down a whole pizza, I could just not scarf down a whole pizza. And if I choose to do that, I should choose to workout as well.

friscostylez friscostylez Did you forget this part?:

Calories in-and-out is the deciding factor. How many that needs to be can be impacted by genetics, medications, lifestyle etc. That woman didn't get that size because of genetics and a medical condition. She got that big because she over consumed despite whatever issues she may have had.

You can replace medical condition with genetics and it wouldn't make a difference

not correct because you were wrong when you said "it just calories in and out" and then proceed to tell us there are other factors involved
I was right. Its calories in vs calories out. The other stuff doesn't cause you to gain weight. They just impact how you calculate...wait for it...calories in vs out.

Hope that helps.
