no way they pass on Curry IMO. I'm actually more worried he won't be there and we reach on Holiday, Lawson, etc. then them just picking over him.
 
This the only reason we should have kept isiah thomas, if there is anything he could do besides play ball it's scout. I think i'm one of the very fewwho are extremely high on thabeet. Am i the only one who thinks he can be the next mutumbo?

. We also need someone with a winning attitude and pass first mentality. With that said scracth evans and jennings off the list. Ofcourse i would loverubio or thabeet, but realistically if we stay at this pick curry would be our best option.
 
Thabeet would provide something we don't have, but to me he just isn't tough enough. he'll block a lot of shots, but idk about flat out anchoring adefense.


and Zeke's picks weren't all THAT great IMO.

I mean he had a great 05 draft. Nate and Lee are turning out to be soe of the better players from that class and they were both relatively latepicks (esp Lee). I wont fault him as much for Frye at 8 either since he was one of the better rookies that year (I believe he was #2 in ROY if i rememberpreoperly maybe 3 after Villanueva as well), and i still think Frye could have been a solid at worst player if it wasnt for LBs inability to handle/developrookies.

Chandler IMO was a steal. Not that Chandler is like a forsure allstar or something but he is noo doubt a very solid player already and was picked late in adraft class that was VERY top heavy but got very weak later in the draft (although i would have liked Brooks

The only time where Isiah @**%!% up big on draft night (and it wasnt even THAT big) was 06. I get Isiah liked Balkman but Balkman would have forsureee beenaround at our 2nd pick at 29. We knew we had to take a P and there were some very quality ones to take at 20 (Rondo, Rodriguez, Williams, Farmar, Lowry, etc.)all of which would have been DEFINITE upgrades over bum @$# Mardy Colins had they been around at 29. Isiah should have scooped one of them at 20 and than tookhis original pick in Balkman 9 spots later instead of having to take the last available PG in Collins.

he's not even projected to be a lottery pick by many. I think his value will rise similar to westbrook's last year....
 
As weak/slow as we may become defensively, Curry and Gallo on the floor shootin the ball...goodness.
 
thomas was a good scout imo. if there was one thing he could do well running a team, it was scouting.

I liked him back in November because of how he let things come to him, but it turned out That kid was nothing but average, all year long. Nova guards ran himoff the floor to end the year, too.

He does not have NBA range and does not have a position. He's a combo guard and does not have elite athleticism like a Westbrook.

The difference in competition from HS to college hurt him now he's a lottery pick in the NBA?

I don't get it. I mean he's not better than Jeff Teague.

Stephon Marbury's up and down (and down some more) playoff run with the Boston Celtics probably won't result in a lucrative contract next season but there is one team that could have interest in the former Knicks guard.

Marbury, according to a source, was contacting Flip Saunders almost on a daily basis during the postseason and there is a chance that Marbury could be reunited with his first professional coach (okay, second after Bobby Cremins) next season.

Saunders is now the head coach of the Washington Wizards and would strongly considering adding Marbury to the roster if there is a vacancy. The biggest hurdle for Marbury is that Mike James and Javaris Crittenton are both under contract.

Ernie Grunfeld was a big Marbury fan when Ernie ran the Knicks. He tried to get him the year that Marbury was traded to the Nets. Instead of Marbury the Knicks made a deal the same day for Mirsad Turkcan.

Cuttino Mobley admitted in an ESPN interview on "Outside The Lines" that he knew he had a life threatening heart condition when he entered the NBA. In fact, Mobley signed a medical waiver with the Rockets, Magic and Kings saying that he wouldn't hold them liable in case he died while playing basketball.

After Mobley was traded to the Knicks in November he decided to retire after meeting with a heart specialist. In fact, some media outlets credited the Knicks medical staff with saving Mobley's life.

As the Cavaliers steamrolled through the regular season and first two rounds of the playoffs, there was rarely a day a Knick fan wouldn't ask me what Ithought of the Knicks' chances of landing LeBron in 2010.

My stock answer was that it looked bleak, that King James was all about winning championships and the Cavaliers may have built themselves a championshipteam. Why would he want to leave a place where he can start a dynasty?

That was before Orlando happened. Knick fans can really hope again, as long as the Magic don't collapse and take care of this 3-1 series lead in theEastern Finals. Oh yes, the referees were still trying to get that LeBron vs. Kobe Final late last night with their ridiculous call with .5 seconds left inregulation, sending James to the foul line after he tripped himself up on a drive.

But a dunking Dwight Howard was too good in overtime (10 points), exposing the Cavs' weak interior to go along with a lack of a clutch sidekick forJames at the perimeter. This should've been a sweep if not for LeBron's miracle shot in Game 3.

Orlando simply looks like a better team, with perimeter forces like Hedo Turkoglu, Rashard Lewis, even PIetrus to aid Dwight's inside menace (and clutchfoul shooting). LeBron is getting his and nobody else in a Cavalier uniform has stepped up like a champion. This will stand as a monumental disappointment toLeBron if it ends in the conference finals, perhaps rethinking all the stuff he had said about how good he felt about the future of the franchise.

When I wrote my end-of-season wrap and the potential moves by Donnie Walsh, I mentioned the move that would dwarf all is if LeBron signed that contractextension July 1. Can't see that happening now.

"Why would LeBron come to the Knicks?,'' is a refrain heard from so many skeptical Knick fans, wondering why the Knicks media kept writingabout the speculaton..

How do you guys feel about Michael Petrus?? I think he has an expiring contract either this year or the next.
 
The Magic only signed him this season, and I believe the deal is for 4 years.

Amare Stoudemire was on ESPN Radio in New York on Friday and lobbied for the Knicks to sign him instead of Chris Bosh. Stoudemire expressed a desire to play for Mike D'Antoni in 2010.

"No doubt about it, I'm better than Chris Bosh," said Stoudemire when posted with the question.

"How serious will you consider the Knicks in 2010," asked Brandon Tierney.

"I will be totally serious about that, I spent a lot of my childhood there, I have a connection with the state, and I also love the entire coaching staff."

"I think Coach D'Antoni's doing a phenomenal job with the Knicks, NY's a great city, I follow them closely."

If it means anything to anyone, I follow Eddy Curry on Twitter and he constantly updates saying he's working out in Chicago and somewhere in Michigan. Hedid mention that Donnie Walsh came by as a surprise.

Stays postin' pics of his shape-ups though..
