I swear there are elitist for every single thing in existence on NT. 
(I don't go to Applebees though. Not because I don't like it..I just don't eat out unless it's a special occasion)

When i lived in the south for a couple of years there were like 3 Applebees within a 10 mile radius. Now that i'm back in Cali i can't find one. The crowds there were pretty random but the prices made me go there like once every week. Now back in Cali i'm stuck going to the yardhouse where i gotta wait to get a seat and get overcharged on beer..... and i wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

I will gladly eat cheap take-out food or even McD's, I'll eat street food and even make use of a vending machine to form what I would consider a decent meal.
But I will *not*, under almost any circumstance, waste any significant amount of time in a mediocre to sub-par chain restaurant.

I don't look down on them but the only reason I'd go to Applebee's, Chili's, TGIFridays is if I'm in an area I don't know and it's the only recognizable option. Like if I have a layover and want a sit down meal/not fast food. The food is just nothing special to me and I'd rather seek out local good restaurants.

last time i had applebees, the service was lousy. food was ok but it's applebees, not silver fox for pete's sake.
last time i had dave & buster's though i evacuated their nachos directly into my underwear whilst running to the bathroom. luckily i was at home but what an awful feeling & shame shower afterwards.
rip those underwears.

Who purposely eats at Applebee's? I mean I understand if it's the only place within 20 minutes but that's a out it. I can only think of 2 here. No one I know would ever suggest Applebee's
