We are flawed beings, very flawed. That brings up a whole philosophical argument I think, about whether or not it is in our nature to behave as reckless, ruthless beings, or whether or not we can attribute these characteristics to an outside source, like poverty for instance. People kill each other for money every day - for religion - a lot of things. But again, we are flawed for letting these things control our lives and take the lives of others.

Funny you mention that aspect of things, I was just thinking about that. In a class I took this semester we read Nietzsche's Genealogy ofMorals and one of his main points was that man destroyed his "true" self. That man's instinctive actions (Killing, hunting, etc) was sort ofrepressed over time and by doing so we create a large internal conflict within ourselves. Its a cycle of self torture and asceticism to convince ourselves thatby doing so we'll be rewarded for it in the future/next life, etc.


I personally dont agree with it at all but it definitely popped out at me when hearing about this stuff and how the people in the videos could be so...inhumane.
