is the wire a good show?

If we're ranking the seasons of wire I'll give my opinion since I'm an official unofficial film critic.

-Season 4
-Season 2
-Season 5
-Season 3
-Season 1
-Season 6

TWD and FTWD are still much better shows. It shows you what will happen and how to prepare with the impending zombie apocalypse.

Easily the goat show. When you realize some parts of Baltimore are actually like that, it's just mind blowing.

Other than season 2 which sets the show up, it's goat. Easily.

Season 4 showed the most candor in what city life really does to individuals on a more isolated level. The wire is a great show and when I watched it the first time I was disappointed with how it ended because I wanted redemption for Avon, but when you realize that the Wire isn't about any certain character it's just about what is you become more appreciative of season 5 I think.

The way season 5 ended is the reason why it's low on my list.

You guys have to admit though Breaking Bad had better characters than The Wire. Gus blows away all The Wire villains.

Snoop >>>

They could've done more with her character though. Obviously she's real. But there are really chicks like her in Baltimore.

Snoop in real life be making some of the baddest chick turn lesbian :lol

Never forget when she went on 106 & Park. That ish was hilarious. If I remember correctly, she was trying to pull Rocsi while they were interviewing her.

The wire is 1 of only 4 tv shows I bought the series collection of

Wire
Fresh Prince
Martin
Different World

Wire is a great show! I can't get passed season 3 on breaking bad, show is a snooze fest for me.

Sure. If you like cartoon characters. Minus whale make Gus a part of Sinister 6 :D

Nah :lol

Outside of Walt, Gus, Jesse, Mike, and Skylar none of the characters are memorable. I only cared about Jesse because he should have died early in the series. If I didn't see him on advertisements (caught up on NF) I would have thought he would have bitten the bullet at some point :lol.

Kids S4 of Wire > characters of BB (except Walt)

4 > 3 > 1 > 2 > 5

Wire seasons IMO: 3 > 2 > 4 > 1 >>>>>> 5

big gap between first four seasons and the last

I agree w/ the gap but I have it 3 > 1 > 2 = 4 >>>>>> 5

just like how all the personalities you learn in season 1 ended up helping or hurting them in later seasons ...writing was elite from jump

Definitely one of the greatest shows ever. My personal favorite show is Hannibal. I absolutely loved every second of that show.

All types of flawed reasoning and comparisons here :lol

Other than those characters you named who else was suppose to be "memorable"? You talking like BB had this huge cast that was all bad and forgettable. With that said you fronting on Hank, Tuco, the twins, and that bell being rung old man Hector in the wheelchair.

That you only cared about Jesse is just that. You only cared about him

Comparing BB and The Wire is such a fail though. The two shows gave you two different types of feels on it's journey. There's a realism and action packed fantasy yall dudes are trying to pit against each other and it'll really just come down to which you prefer

As to dude you quoted :lol :{ I wouldn't even say The Wire had villains. They just had badass gangstas in Omar and Marlo. Those were the threatening figureheads for most of the series. Maybe add in Mouzzone along with Snoop and Partlow. However, they shouldn't be compared to a guy like Gus who while a drug kingpin is way more fiction.

Yall dudes steady making the weirdest comparisons. There's really not been anything like BB or The Wire out there in tv to compare them to other stuff and to compare to each other is even more off.

4>2>3=1>>>>>> 5

Looking bad 5 just got outta control with the serial Killer angle.

McNulty went full ****** :lol
