actually the grip is surprisingly decent.
I only played in the shoe a couple of times but on a pretty bad floor, and I was not disappointed with the grip at all.
The X's are pretty underrated as a basketball shoe IMO.

I've only balled in the OG black/shadow-true red and white/UNC blue-black and grip was pretty good indoor and out. Haven't had the chance to ball inany of the retros though but I'd imagine traction would at least be on the same level if not better.

WELL I PLAYED A LOT IN MINE AND IT DID GIVE GOOD GRIP BUT IT WORE DOWN AFTER A WHILE. THEY WERE VERY LIGHT AND COMFORTABLE AND I JUST NOW MOVED ON TO MY JORDAN11 LOWS AND MAYBE NEXT THE 23s! WHEN THEY WEAR DOWN GO TO JUMPUSA.COM AND BUY THIS GRIP STUFF THAT YOU PUT ON THE BOTTOM OF YOUR SHOES AND YOU GET GREATTRACTION!
