***MLB Feet and Equipment 2014***NEW THREAD

no way theyd do cleats... someone said sunglasses so maybe the angle makes the box look bigger but cleats would be crazy

I'm in the market for cleats and catching gear so I'm hoping for one of those. They said catching gear was down the road and they've said that for 2 years so...? idk

I wonder if all star would make evoshields catchers gear as well because that would be more bank for them since they already make ua's

thats interesting because evoshield did that in chandler for their bats so maybe. You'd think that'd be a great opportunity to implement their evoshield tech tho.

I was finally able to stop at one of the Marshall's that had the PE batting gloves last year. Nothing like that today, but they did just have a couple pairs of regular Nike batting gloves. Lots of just regular team t-shirts too.

Lucky you found any gloves. 2 marshalls in my area are getting football cleats in

Picked these up from the Under Armour outlet yesterday between games. They were $20. I like them a whole lot. They have material like receiver gloves on the palms, and they are like compression material. I like the extra grip on the bat it gives you, would def recommend them. View media item 875658

J-Roll is just done with Nike in general; signed the contract with Mizuno for his fielding glove last year and also is now done with Nike Vision, wearing Oakleys now. Got his JB gear and that's all now.

Hey i appreciate it. Since they were only $9 I'm thinking of customizing the heck out of them. I was thinking since my team has to black out our cleats (yeah i know that sucks) to black out the logo and white/silver in the back, keep the velco white, gray of the toe box, get one of those laces you posted and chrome out the bottom and maybe use some 3M reflective paint. Tell me if anyone has tried this and if you have tel me what you've used. Thanks

I have not painted cleats yet except the logo and midsole once with Krylon Fusion for plastic.  I've been planning a project and what i've learned is that you really need to prepare your cleats by using a degalzer  (accetone which is in most fingernail polish remover) http://angelusdirect.com/collections/customize-sneakers and if you are painting on patent (shinny) leather you will need or should use a promoter like  probase or sandfree to make the paint stick. Patent leather I guess basically has a plastic coat underneath.

King os Sneakers on YTube has a long but pretty informative clip which is worth watching.

The chrome part is interesting to me... One color like CarGos or multi color? I know I saw a two can set of multi color chrome spray paint at NAPA auto parts but I can't find it online.

If sucessful post the results.

My thought is if nike won't do it for me, ill just do it. What was the stuff someone on here used to customize their bgs? he used some sort of paint. just wondering if that'd work

These are the nicest hats i have ever worn. i like them better than new era's new hats. The top Nike NCAA teams wore this model last year and they were only for sale at the CWS. First time i have seen this model available publicly since. They have the MLB teams but they are adjustable hats which is pretty lame if you ask me. Hopefully they do more styles. Besides the perforated back panels, the bill is pretty strange where it is only made of the standard bill material on the outer rims and the inner is softer to form to different head shapes. I would highly recommend giving it a try.

Where do you play? We had to black out our cleats in college as well. All because of one guy who was a first round draft pick (Beau Mills). He had the pro stock Reebok's with the huge Reebok logo. Our coach then decided that everyone had to black out their cleats....thanks a lot Beau!

Come summer ball and what not, I aways had the freshest cleats.

On a seperate note...anyone have any idea if Nike is coming out with new Turfs this year?
