New Season Thread Made, Move on Over :)

Jordan Hill back. Coooo

we need a combo guard that can back up both Nash and Kobe now. Glock cant do it.

Randy Foye.... DO IT MITCH.

Then if it ever goes down see if Nash actually has a problem with JRich. If not and we ever trade for Dwight take JRich

Foye
JRich
Jamison
Hill

I'd roll with that heavy.

^ i was thinkin Foye as well, theres also Delonte and Barbosa. i'd be happy with either

PG? Steve Blake?
Foye and JRich (if Dwight is traded) are best options
You'd have 4 bench players. All of which play 2 positions

Ehh, I thought about the backup PG......as long as his bum *** can get the ball to the other guys around him, Blake shouldn't be too horrible. Or hell if all else fails, you let one of the young guys run the 2nd unit

Randy foye would be a great fit off the bench

Jrich cant join he smashed the homie wife yo...id rather have barbosa over Foye quick tempo with nash

Barbosa is the rumored person.. But if that's the case, it is why I said ask Nash if he had a problem with him.. If he did then you don't get him.

But with Hill back the Magic have no person on their roster that does us any good other than Richardson.

1. Glen Davis won't play since we have Jamison and Hill
2. Turkoglu is a terrible contract, I'd be difficult to move pieces to get him (which means Metta may get traded in the deal which is stupid)
3. Duhon is 10x worse than Blake.

Updated rotation:

Steve Nash/ ???? / Morris
Kobe / ????
Metta/ ???? / Ebanks
Pau/ Jamison
Bynum / Hill

People left out: Robert Sacre (who I like, just needs some time), Goudelock (out of shape, not focused, still not ready), DJO (needs time), Steve Blake (obvious reasons)

Most important (in my opinion)

Lakers get: Dwight Howard, Jason Richardson
Cavs get: Andrew Bynum, Glen Davis, Chris Duhon
Magic get: (Fill in Cavs players), Josh McRoberts, Christian Eyenga, 3-1st Round Picks, 1 Second Rounder

Gives us a guy who plays SG by nature.. Plays SF better defensively.. In this case you can give JRich, Ebanks & Jamison all time at the SF.

Moving on: We need to find a destination for Steve Blake. Whether it be to a team with a later Second Rounder, or we do a salary dump, he needs to go. If we can unload him as a salary dump, we can go look for a PG in the market for almost $1mil cheaper, and sign him to similar years.
1, Randy Foye (who wants a MLE size contract, but don't see him getting it. Because he's in the buyer's market phase of FA.)
2. Keyon Dooling
3. Jodie Meeks
4 Delonte West
5. Jordan Farmar

For Jordan Hill, you have to respect that decision he made especially for his age. He did something most vets don't even do which is to take less money. He's smart, he knows that with Nash and his PnR that his stock will drive up even more after the 2 seasons.:smokin

i'd get meeks as backup sg cause he can shoot and barbosa as backup pg...dude was slicing through miami's defense in the playoffs

a back sf that can shoot would also be nice but if all fails it will have to be ebanks :x

If you want more than bench help, than what does OJ Mayo bring to this team?
He's going to end up on the bench regardless, plus I don't see him taking what the Lakers would have offered him.

You hella late man.

Juice already signed with Dallas like a week ago.

The Los Angeles Lakers are in the hunt to acquire All-Star center Dwight Howard and the guys in Las Vegas think it’s a good bet Howard will be in a purple and gold uniform in the near future.

The Lakers opened as high as 12/1 to win the 2013 NBA championship but are now 2/1 at the MGM/Mirage. Jeff Stoneback, sportsbook manager for the Mirage, says that he has more tickets on the Lakers to win than the next two most-bet teams – the Miami Heat and Brooklyn Nets – combined.

“We opened the Lakers at 8/1 (to win the title), then moved down to 5/1 after they got (Steve) Nash,” Stoneback told Covers. “We wrote a lot of tickets on them at that price, so we moved down to 5/2 and then moved down again to 2/1.”

It was the same situation at Cantor Gaming, which runs the sportsbooks at multiple properties on and off the Las Vegas Strip.

“They’re the most bet on by far,” Cantor Gaming sportsbook director Mike Colbert told Covers. “Right now we’ve got 270 tickets on the Lakers to win and 77 on the second most-bet team.”

The Lakers are always a popular bet for Las Vegas locals because of the team’s proximity to Nevada. Still, Colbert says this much support unusually high.

Of course that has a lot to do with the Lakers' busy offseason. Los Angeles picked up two-time MVP Steve Nash in a sign-and-trade with Phoenix and it just brought in veteran forward Antawn Jamison, who averaged 17.2 points per game for the Cleveland Cavaliers last season.

But the big elephant in the room is Dwight Howard. If the reports are accurate, the Lakers are the frontrunners to net the disgruntled Orlando Magic player.

“I’d say the Lakers chances of getting Howard are a little better than 50/50,” Colbert said. “Just doesn’t seem like there’s another team that makes sense for him to land with.”

Colbert also said that the Heat would still be the favorite to win the NBA championship even if the Lakers got Howard.

Vegas knows what's up.

Despite what the odds are and what Vegas says. We ain't getting DH.

Yes we will.. Eventually this offseason.. Just let the saga play out..

It's becoming increasingly clear who he wants to play for.. Houston will end up dropping out as a DH suitor because the asking price will cripple them. Especially in that 3rd year with Asik & Lin making $14mil each in 2014-2015, which they have already started to pull back.

When Houston drops out that leaves just us, and Houston as the 3rd team, but rather than 4 picks, they'll offer 2 picks. Take Bynum, Big Baby and/or Duhon.

So very happy that Jordan Hill resigned with us. Now if we can get him to stop choking *****, we'll be good to go.

This move won't get done until the Magic want it to. They don't have a clue what's going on and feel they can wait as long as possible to keep Dwight like they are going to be getting any better offers. The 3 way with LA/ORL/CLE or LA/ORL/HOU is the best and only deals they will get that will give them what they desire, draft picks and cap relief.

its j rich. barbosa was seen like 2 weeks after the rumor came out with steve nash at his soccer charity event...

It's most likely neither. The whole rumor started because Nash was getting a divorce right after he had a kid. That was weird to people so someone made a rumor that the kid was black.

Kid has no ounce of darkness in him.

It's just more Internet gossip.
