Tried these on today. First impressions:
— Less bulky than the 5s and 6s, super light
— Court feel is amazing, very very low to the ground
— Zoom turbo feels less prominent than the 5s and 6s, yet it's still there
— Traction could be a hit or miss. It wasn't inspiring (hard to tell in a retail store)
— Toebox is narrow and I have narrow feet (go up 0.5 a size)
— The 4x fingers on the toebox, stick up no matter how tight you tie your laces (a bit of an eyesore)
— Upper is minimal, very minimal, but lockdown seems adequate
— Ankle area is snug, the padded collar is a nice touch
I think these will be the best Kyrie to date in terms of overall performance. Definitely an evolution vs a revolution. They're heading in the right direction.
If you're a shifty guard, these will be perfect for you. Great balance of court feel and lockdown.
Just trying to decide if I should cop the Bruce Lee's or a pair of the 7s... smh first world problems.
