it wasn't instinctive to you yet & forgot in the moment
or felt you would over power & went at it another " safer " way
It's an entirely different ball game with real life situations vs. forms/patterns...especially if the fight goes to the ground.
My wrestling background has been much more helpful in fights than Tae Kwon Do.
