Exactly. I hope the 2nd pair of laces that they come with, since 1s always come with an extra pair, are both flat and the same color as the suede.

I wasnt that interested in banned cause they retroed them pretty nicely royal 2017 were great too. I guess the laces and box & i like blue more than red, add in the different insole in the flyknit1

Also helps when a shoe would fit better in a 11.25 which don't exist (11.5 these are)

I'm a true 11.5 but I like to size up to 12 for 1s and throw a thin drug store brand insole in, just a few extra mm of foam helps nicely.

I don't believe this is a shoe to be released. It's a scan of a Japanese magazine. The shoes have clearly a 2001 silhouette with what looks like nubuck swoosh; Ichiro started his career in the U.S. in 2001. Sneakernews said that Nike was trying to sway Ichiro, although to my knowledge Ichiro was with Mizuno for his entire career. He never had Nike anything, although this PE exists as well: (would have been from 2004 if it was indeed to commemorate his single season hit record)

Beautiful pair of 1s, though.
