me personally I would feel more comfortable making a bigger purchase on GOAT, although I have made similar sized purchases on StockX too and haven’t had any issues. StockX seems to let more things through, likely due to their larger volume. Just my $.02

Do you think GOAT would be better at authenticating?

Thanks for asking. Ulcerative Colitis is severe inflammation of the large intestine only, where as Crohn's is the entire digestive system. No surgery for Crohn's, only UC. It's pain (often excruciating, bloating, nausea sometimes, massive discomfort, etc). If medicine doesn't get rid of the symptoms, you can have a 2-part procedure called J-Pouch surgery. It's where they take out your entire large intestine, you have an ostomy for a few months, while the insides heal. After a few months, you go back for the "takedown" where they remove the outside bag, and rehook everything up internally. My only hiccup was the day of the 2nd surgery (I mean I was prepped and ready to go inside the room) I was jaundice (this was the start of my liver failure and eventual need for a liver transplant 15 months later.

Once I had the takedown, I felt great. No pain, I was eating foods I hadn't eaten in over 10 years, and I could do things I never could do (long trips without having to thing of finding a restroom ASAP). But about 12 years later, I wasn't doing well, and wasn't sure what it was. Went to my GI in Philly, and they did some tests and realized the inflammation was now in my small intestine. Which I didn't understand since they removed the large and I had nothing in the small. It was dormant in there until it woke up. Got really bad as I was down to about 160 lbs (and I'm 6 ft). Multiple scopes later and all the different drugs, they did a scope this past January and it was REAL BAD! Doctor scheduled infusion right away. Bit sadly, it doesn't seem to work. Still going to the restroom 15-25 times a day on average (has been more).

I still work every day, never call out. I go about my day the best I can and keep a smile on my face (though it's hard sometimes). My wife is amazing. She helps any way possible (I'd be lost without her. She's my best friend and my true soulmate). Trying to figure out a possible new profession to get rid of the stress my current job (which I've had for over 23 years) brings me (and stress is #1 for GI disorders). Cutting out all surgery drinks has helped me feel better in terms of overall health. Not jumpy anymore from too much sugar. Glad I did that. These diseases have really exploded recently due to the processed foods people eat. They awake symptoms. It's a terrible disease (which I've had since 16 and I'm 43 now) I would NEVER wish on anyone.

Wow, that's a lot of trips to the restroom. You said you dropped down to 160 lbs, were you eating normally but still losing weight? Or were you just not able to eat?

Found my black toes!! Wife was cleaning my sons room and found them under the bed. Son was secretly wearing them to school. I couldn’t be mad. I would have done the same as a kid!!

Back then 2001/2002, I couldn't eat very much that wouldn't bother me. Mainly grilled chicken and rice. It would never stay in me long enough to gain weight. I'm better,. It very much, but better. Up to about 175-180 lbs today.

LMAO didn't somebody in this thread accuse your son of doing that when you first brought it up?

I hope you didn't say anything to him and just wore it infront of him

condolences, dude

i've had some form of ibs for the past 10+ years myself, and it's pretty much ruined my life

can't imagine what having full-blown uc or crohn's must be like

i'm also glad to hear that you have a loving, supporting wife who can be there for you through all of it

maybe it's just cause i'm dislikable person irl (lol) or something, but i've found that very, very, VERY few people sympathize with chronic digestive disorders (doctors included)

I was trying to get the opinions of everyone in the thread if they would suggest using stock x or goat if they were in the market for Shattered Backboard 1.0s or is it too risky and should I just cop from Stadium Goods or Flight Club?

I've literally made over 30+ purchases on goat and never once had a problem except when I bought the 2017 Chinese new year 12s a half a size too small but that was my mistake. My boy literally sold fake Concords and Gold Toes on StockX that passed inspection. When he tried that with Goat they banned him. I don't care how big or popular StockX is, I simply don't trust their authentication process.

Thanks buddy. I hope you get some relief soon as well. Your definitely right about others not understanding or sympathetic about GI disorders. It's awful. Some people just think, take a Tums or Imodium and it's fine. WRONG!!! Not even. Remotely close! I sell cars for a living for the past 23 years. The stress is not good for what I have. It's why I gotta get out the business and into something more normal. I've been at the same dealership for the entire time so all my previous customers know my medical history and are very understanding. Some new customers don't get it and wonder why I can't go on a test drive with them. Until I tell them and then it hits them.

No you are not, I also think the original court purple looks better than what is releasing next year.

Idk y'all. Am I the only one feeling the original Court purple's more than these new ones? Might just be a personal tastes but I prefer the color blocking on the original. The purple on the toe box looks much better than the white imo. Gottas see some more on feet pics.
