Today was a good mail day - White Cement 3s and Union black toes to complete the Union AJ1 set.

The black toes don’t always wow me in photos and they don’t look that special in the photo I took with the background and lightning, but in hand they’re really damn good. They’re slightly used but I think they look best with a bit of wear and I’ll be rocking them anyway.

Storm blues are a 9 US and the black toes are an 8.5 US. I usually go for a 9 but the 8.5 is a good fit for me in the AJ1 as I have narrow feet.

The price I paid for both is kind of shameful. 2.5K GBP combined. But in my defense, I bought the storm blues when they were going for more, and you have less options when living outside the U.S., especially when it comes to the storm blue which appears to be quite rare over here. I tried on Stock X but when you bid, they try to match you with a seller in your own country and I was never getting a match and I didn’t feel like paying the buy now fee which was around 2k (I think part of that was import fees). I found a DS pair on eBay and I had a lot of competition for them (the seller showed all the enquiries) so I ended up paying 1.5. It feels like too much but it was my birthday and there wasn’t really any other options if I wanted a pair legit checked.


The black toes were 1k used. Feels more absurd than the storm blues in a way but there’s not many black toes in my size out here either and I was tracking a pair for months and regretted not paying up the one other time I had a chance to grab them. I wish I would have snagged both Unions in early 2019 but the most I spent on a shoe up until last year was around 500. The unions just stayed stuck in my mind and I was able to let go of a few pairs to help fund them.

I know you’re a big storm blue Union fan. I’d definitely go for those over the lost and founds if I were you, but be warned, you’ll then want the black toe as well. You should be able to find better deals being in the U.S. though.

Each foot was wrapped in ripped white wrapping paper, which was annoying. Also, I thought the extra laces came in those brown paper containers now Vice the plastic.

I feel you, I paid resale on the release date after striking out like I did on my other 85s. This one I may double up on while the prices are still low. I plan on putting mileage on my pair!

Shoes come individually wrapped in white wrapping paper, then covered with that paper with the red symbols. Also, they are 85s so spare laces still come in plastic bags. Your pair is legit.

Anyone know how to whiten the tongue on these mochas? Dude I got them from had them on display right under a light. They discolored. I compared them to my DS pair and it's noticeable.

Yeah not go lie I’m seriously considering selling my Mochas to go towards another pair of L&Fs. I like Mochas but I never wear/wore them for some reason. Was never a fan of the white collar so I’m thinking of parting ways with them at some point. We’ll see.
