without ultra instinct, im pretty sure Vegeta's surpassed Goku if we keep it to Blue. Vegeta dodged Jiren and landed hits on him solo while Goku could only do that when teaming with Vegeta or tapping into Ultra Instinct (which he cant tap into anymore unless he's near death, but he'll probably eventually master it with more Whis training).

actually im not entirely sure if
SSB+Kaiokenx20 = Vegeta SSB Evolution, or if SSBE > SSBKx20. I gotta rewatch Super now smfh but ill wait for the dub to get there

It took both of them to get it done.

Had Vegeta not distracted cell, Gohan aould have been washed.

His whole fastbteak highlight was based on a cherry pick. Vegeta made that play. Gohan just finished at the rim. Cell wasn’t even in a defensive position, Gohan drove the lane on him with his back turned. Had Cell had his feet planted and his hands up on defense we both know he would have sent that **** into the bleachers


Why are we even still talking about his junior high highlights anyway.

With all that said, Gohan was still powerful at the TOP, he's just a waste of potential though because he always holds back and isn't really intelligent. Dude be hanging with ChiChi too much. As much as it's a strength that being a halfbreed gives him enormous potential, it's a downfall because he's socialized more of a human than a Saiyan, so he rarely ever taps into his true power.

At the end of Z where Goku meets Uub (about 3-4 years after the ToP), Gohan doesn't even show up to the tournament, which means post-ToP, he's back to his old ways being momma's boy and working on school stuff instead of fighting. Goten and Trunks also follow the same footstep, unlike the Future Trunks counterpart who's more in-tune with his Saiyan side because his whole life he lives in danger, thus he is forced to always behave more like a Saiyan than human.

EDIT:
Future-gohan (although murked at the hands of the Androids) >>>>> present-Gohan, because the guy is not a wuss. His attitude is different, he's ready to fight for it all because he didn't have time to be soft. He knew it was do or die, given the circumstances of his reality, he had to tap into his Saiyan blood at all times.

Cell saga is like vegetas lowlights too. From android washing, imperfect cell decision, perfect cell warm up, goku basically telling him I'm way stronger than you, realizing he's weak when goku vs cell started, cell jr washing, attacking cell then proceeds to get murked then gets saved by gohan causing gohan to injure his arm

...distracting cell was the least his weak *** could do.
