I don't even know what m50's are, but sure the headphones will stay the same price. But that doesn't mean you can't get equal technology for 35$ in 2010. No way you convincing me otherwise hommie. Did you really think I meant Dre headphones will be 35$ next year?

Fam no you can't.  Headphones are not HDTVs or Blu Ray players.  The technology is not something really new that lowers in price exponentially.  Look at some of those headphones shown in here.  The Sennheiser hd25 are old as hell and still cannot be bought for under 180 usually and still get some of the best reviews for headphones out there.  Same with some of the others mentioned.  Everyone is not talking about beats.  Beats are overpriced for what they are anyway.

Good anything never drops in price. That is basic economics, but you really telling me headphone technology never advances?

I am sure it advances but the really good headphones that you see are not new.  Since there is nothing else that comes along to compete then basic economics does not apply and prices don't really drop.  Its not like with TVs or other electronics where the technology greatly advances.  What else is there to do with a headphone?  They are what they are.  You are trying to equate like other electronics which have rapid price drops but headphones just don't work like that.

You are correct, but I still like my spaghettio line. Any suggestions for good headphones for the touch?

What type are looking for? If you are looking for earbuds I can't really help you because I can't stand having something inside my ear like that

After waiting all day I got em' feel like I lost a little interest haven't really messed with them yet, I paid under retail still a little much. I doubt I will ever pay that much for headphones ever again! They seem very durable the leather might tear before the headphones break that's what I'm thinking... Best looking headphones out there, I'm not a true audiophile but I listen to music all day everyday these do seem a bit uncomfortable and tight but i've been wearing my du-rag since I was a kid...

I don't think any reasonable person in the world would pay over maybe $200 for these headphones. I was just expecting to be blown away... you need stadium speakers to get me tweaking. Maybe it was hype or because it's a b day present to myself I'll see how I feel after a week or something... Off to scan my collection for that M

Amazon product ASIN B00001WRSJAmazon product ASIN B000AJIF4E
they're both basically the same, but the bottom one is newer. and i believe there's something about the warranty when if you get the v6 (the cheaper ones), they'll replace them with v600 (inferior headphones) if you need a replacement. got the info from head-fi http://forums.audioholics.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-15999.html

been listening to my hd-650's for over half a year now and they're still amazing. partnered with the nuforce icon hdp dac/amp, music has never sounded any sweeter.

currently saving up for an integrated tube amp + bookshelf speakers for my vinyl player. i know this is a headphone thread, but any recommendations for a set of bookshelf speakers for under $1000?

break them in more or leave them running on your music player or laptop for hours while your not using them before you return them

Yea I feel like I forgot how to use the net or something anyway I'm not an expert by any means these were made to listen to Dre's tracks all day and i'm not mad. I bumped a little rock that I had and it sounds muddled to me that video reminds me of watching Bevis & Butthead too close to the TV back in the day. Dre is a madman!

The quality of the song absolutely makes a difference you will be able to notice.

ya girl got her pros tonight ... quick flick taken with iphone4 (i need to clean my coffee table off, lol)

here is my take, for those who like the beats series ...

i had the studios since day one ...

i understand that these are in no way an upgrade but a new pair of headphones ...

i got these because they are more durable and no batteries was a good look for me ...

i have been listening to them for about 2 hours straight now ... i can honestly say these are far more comfortable on my head than the studios, the ear cup leather material shape change was a good look. they feel far more solid, you don't have to baby them like the studios (which i cracked one pair, and got a replacement luckily, still was worrisome because they are not cheap as we all know)

as far as the music goes, i am not a dj or in the music industry, i am just a chick who is heavy into music and like the best quality i can get on the go or if i am chillin' at the house and just want to zone out on the music tip. the clarity of these is more superior compared to the studios, they are more crisp when it comes to really hearing the lyrics and not having the actual music of a track drown out the lyrics in a track. at the same time, i love for stuff to really hit. that bass, really pushes me and gets me hype, these are hitting more than the studios bass wise. i am into hiphop music mainly and these really bring the clarity of sound and lyrics out in another way.

only downside really was price, i think 300 woulda been a fair price for these. but hey, i am not bugging, i got what i wanted and i am happy not complaining. my studios were a b-day gift, so i was happy then, and buying these now at best buy with no interest on them for 18 months was a good look as well.
