Shillary to suspend campaign on 9/11.

More shameless pandering.

Sounds like she's showing respect, why do you hate America so much? It's truly despicable.
The hypocrisy in here is off the charts.

I'm still getting over rickyrobot disrespecting veterans while at the same time trying to call others out for disrespecting veterans.:lol

Observations, not complaints.

From the moment he announced his campaign by painting MOST Mexican immigrants as criminals, I knew I shouldn't expect anything from him. Every subsequent action he's taken has only confirmed my initial opinion of him. That's why his pivot-that-is-really-a-360-rotation doesn't move me a little bit. It is painfully transparent that he's shamelessly lying through his teeth for votes.

If you're a Mexican immigrant (legal or illegal) and you take offense, I believe that's a reflection on you and your insecurities with your identity.

 • I'm Mexican but I don't see myself as part of a big, monolithic Mexican entity where I get offended by anyone who utters the word "Mexican," I can only speak for myself and my family
 • I know I'm not a criminal or a rapist, so I know he's not talking about me
 • I know my Mexican family is not comprised of criminals or rapists, so I know he's not talking about them
 • OBVIOUSLY not all Mexican immigrants are criminals or rapists, so I know he didn't literally mean that every single Mexican immigrant is a criminal or rapist -- my brain doesn't require him to spell it out verbatim to understand that he's specifically referring to ***illegal immigrants who go on to commit violent crimes in the US***
 • I am completely comfortable with my identity -- nothing Donald Trump or anyone says about Mexican immigrants will ever make me feel differently about myself or my family
 • I am against illegal immigration, it's a pretty reasonable concept -- if you want to move to this country, come in legally like my parents did, IT'S THE LAW (crazy stuff, I know :eek )

Think of it this way:

 • Would Albert Einstein get offended by someone calling him stupid? No, he'd laugh
 • Would Usain Bolt get offended by someone calling him slow? No, he'd laugh
 • Would Mike Tyson get offended by someone calling him a *****? No, he'd knock their *** out and laugh

So when anyone speaks negatively about Mexicans, I laugh, because I simply can't relate.

I don't relate to 90% of the stuff I defend in this discussion, and if someone tried to establish my political profile based on my upbringing, education, and profession, they'd put me right in the middle of the "pull yourself by the bootstraps" crowd.

But it's not about me.

It's about the perception that others have of me and people who share a single, insignificant trait with me.

When Trump declares that MOST immigrants are criminals, which is inaccurate BTW, it validates the perception that most encounters with immigrants are of a criminal nature. It creates the kind of toxic environment that makes xenophobic, oppressive policies acceptable to the majority.

It's a good thing that you took the example of Einstein: Nazis didn't think that Einstein was dumb; however, they were convinced that he and people like him were subhumans bent on exploiting the German people, and designed policies that aimed at eliminating their presence from German society.

All illegal immigrants are criminals by definition.

Trump wants them out, Hillary wants their vote.

I didn't say illegal immigrants. I said immigrants. The assumption in his speeches is that legal immigrants are a minority of all immigrants.

I no longer use my GC to identify myself outside of government offices because average Americans have never seen one and they assume it's fake.

Not sure who's doing the assuming but about 25% of all immigrants entered the US illegally, half of which are from Mexico. I'd say he has a point.

The number has leveled off in recent years after its peak in 07 though, largely due to the economic recession. Nevertheless, Obama made it easier for illegals to obtain green cards hence why many citizens are upset.

If 25% of the estimated 11.7 million (2.925 million) immigrants are illegal, and half ( 1.46 million) of them are from Mexico, Why is Trump acting as if .45% of the population justifies the likely billions of dollars it's going to cost to build, maintain, and staff a wall across the wall? Trumps got people thinking that literally less than half a percent of the country is going around raping and murdering people and stealing all of the jobs. It's ridiculous.

Are you talking about the DREAM act? From my understanding, it gives you the right to a working permit and protects you from deportation. That is a FAR cry from getting permanent residency. Here's why:

When your status in the US is not legal, you are subjected to an entry ban, the duration of which being dependent on the amount of time spent in the US as an illegal (1 year = 10 year ban). With the DREAM act, those penalties are essentially forgiven; however, you cannot exit the country and come back like a GC holder would. The DREAM act is a temporary measure that was designed to grant relief to those who qualify while the kinks of a path to full legalization/citizenship were worked out.

Also, it is a LOT harder these days to get GCs by fraudulent means. The DHS has been cracking down hard on fraudulent marriages, adoptions, and asylum applications. To add to that, Obama has deported more people than any other president.

If you're a legal non-immigrant (like a student) daily life here has been made more difficult: you need to ask for a visa every time you exit the country and there is absolutely no guarantee that you will be granted one (which is a major concern if you're pursuing an undergrad or a grad degree here), and you can't easily get access to banking institutions because most require you to have an SSN.

Regarding Trump having a point: he is not presenting the immigration issue in a measured way. As you said, 25% of immigrants live here illegally (which means that 75% have the right to be here), but you wouldn't get that from Trump's speeches. If you were to rely on what he says, you could easily be led to believe that the country is being overrun by lawless hordes of foreigners; we're talking about 11 million people (many of whom are children) out of 350 million people.

There has been nothing but rhetoric & slogans coming out of trump & his camp. He's provided very little specific information regarding what his actual plans would be for anything. The few specifics he did provide are already being done by Obama's administration or they're ludicrous like borrowing $500b for infrastructure spending because interest rates are low right now.

The idiot has a long history of racism in it's most institutional forms (housing discrimination, discriminatory practices against minority employees at his casinos) along with any of the number of ill ish coming out of that yuck mouth... & he's supposed to be a viable option for minorities in this country?!?!

He literally has 40 years of documented acts of racism...

Again, I understand if you don't like Hilary for any number of the reasons out there but one ceases to have intelligence if you argue that trump is a viable candidate. The more intelligent act would be to say I don't like Hilary & I'm voting for trump just because I hate that *****.

This is one of the more "dumber" things I've heard come out of his mouth...

Mexico will pay for the wall. 100%. They don't know it yet, but they're going to pay for the wall.

Another tidbit from the migration policy link

What percentage of the adult foreign-born population is college educated?

In 2014, 29 percent (10.5 million) of the 36.7 million immigrants ages 25 and older had a bachelor's degree or higher, compared to 30 percent of native-born adults. Notably, the share of college-educated immigrants is much higher—44 percent—among those who entered the country since 2010. On the other end of the educational spectrum, 30 percent of immigrants lacked a high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate versus 10 percent of their native-born counterparts.

I chuckled (it's irrelevant to the discussion at hand but I had to post it)

Hispanic and Latino are not racial categories. They include individuals who classified themselves in one of the specific Spanish, Hispanic, or Latino categories listed on the Census 2000 questionnaire—"Mexican, Mexican Am., Chicano," "Puerto Rican," or "Cuban"—as well as those who indicate that they are "other Spanish/Hispanic/Latino."

He's only viable in the context of Hillary Clinton. But if there was ever an election to vote for a third party, this is it.

People still believe that Obama soft on illegal immigrants lie :lol

How do you think he got the nickname Deporter In Chief?

Google the stats.

All illegal immigrants are criminals by definition.

Trump wants them out, Hillary wants their vote.

An immigrant who entered the United States without permission or who lives here without permission is violating the Immigration and Nationality Act, which is civil, not criminal code. Deportation proceedings at immigration courts are administrative proceedings, not criminal proceedings. One who breaks civil code is not a criminal. Second, undocumented immigrants CANNOT vote in US elections! What are you talking about Hillary wants their vote; they CANNOT vote.

Yup just a misdemeanor!

Talking about illegals as criminals is the premise of the Trump propaganda and that NTer repeated this rhetoric like a cheap Fox News talking point.

Where did I do that? Actually, if your reading comprehension game were at a sufficient level, you'd read my post where I said I DIDN'T think CK was disrespecting the military. Try again.

It's sad how illiterate you guys are. But go ahead and keep throwing those emojis out like you're winning the argument. [emoji]128514[/emoji]

And your *** will be complaining about people be unwilling to dialogue in a couple days.

Between you Rico and Ninja, at least Trump knows he got the hypocrite vote locked up

These backup SNs need to be exposed.

Will make it easier for people to ignore them if they know it's a banned poster with the same old schtick only a new name.

If people are so childish that they'll refuse to "dialogue" with me because I called them out for either their crippling illiteracy or simply putting words in my mouth to make THEIR point (being intellectually dishonest - you know a little something about that, right?), so be it.

Next time, NT should donate a library to YOU dudes.

You put words in your people's mouths all the too, and you came in this thread on some troll ****

You're in no position to criticize anyone.

And people aren't putting words in your mouth, they are breaking down your arguments and you're struggle to defending yourself. So it time to play victim and throw out attacks.

Where did you disrespect VETERANS?

Right here

http://niketalk.com/t/652983/colin-kaepernick-is-righter-than-you-know/1140#post_26438987

Look at these guys posting their collages and FB profile pics and ****. It's so blatantly obvious that they're just self-aggrandizing on social media under the guise of "courageously fighting for Colin Kaepernick's right to free speech."

Do none of you see that? Read their captions.

 • "Bad ***" picture in front of a helicopter: "I didn't wear all this gear..." 8)
 • Collage of all his best army pics:"Me: West Point, Ranger School, Kosovo, Iraq, Bronze Star." 8)

 • Some more "bad ***" pics: "I don't agree with all of his points, but I'll fight to the death for his right to say it." 8)

Humble Noble bragging at its finest. Stop acting like they're part of some profound movement because they tweeted pictures of themselves and captions about their accomplishments. It's not so different from people putting the French or Belgian flag on their Facebook profile pictures. People just want to participate in current events to feel included, and be as photogenic as possible while doing it so they can get likes, comments, and retweets. This fake ***, pretentious society. :{
